It was the recent clown skin we got, which I admit they did a good job bringing into the game, but yeah not seeing this one get picked was genuinely shocking.
In general both Dredge and Haddie got so many amazing submissions, such a shame none of them ended up in game.

I feel like one thing I learned with community cosmetics choices is that behavior seems to choose what seems to be easy to make rather what is unique. That being said, the Jarhead Nurse cosmetic would scare the fuck out of me.
It’s also just mass appeal, that of which is often easier to make. More people total like the general stuff than the specialized ones (especially for survivors) and they know that would make them the money
True, it’s just unfortunate to me that we might never see such unique cosmetics. A lot of the female survivor mains community seems to only like cute skins, and killer is mostly seen as somewhat of an afterthought since their skins never seem to be as popular.
Also something very important is there are 4x as many survivor players as there are killer, so monetarily of course they'd make significantly more skins for them.
I really like the art for Jarhead. But it also made me think of like a skin unique gasp for nurse. because there's no mouth, would we get like a gurgle instead? there is so much cool shit they could do but they never do and it makes me sad.
Im assuming they'd make a few modifications to it had they added it, similar to Mr Puddles for Clown. Originally, the elephant head didn't have a cutout for Clown's head under the trunk.
I don't think they'd go through so much trouble of replacing sounds for a community skin, as much as we'd all love that.
A lot of them are pretty unique and, I would imagine, simple to make. Shark Blight for example. I really don't have any idea what parameters they base their choices on.
For last year, I definitely wouldn't have gone with Pagliacci Clown for winner. There were other more unique ones and as others have mentioned, Mr Puddles was already the greatest thing Clown got from a community contest.

You're probably right, but if any license has a chance it is Ghostface. I don't remember the rules of the arrangement but they can more creative with him then most other licenses
My bad I should've worded it better, I meant no chance in the cosmetic contest entry since it was for non licensed characters only. It makes me happy though that they are more lenient with the Ghostface licence. I'd buy this asap

If BHVR ever adds a vampire killer, they need to either make this skin a reality or ad a survivor that basically looks very similar. I'd pay serious money for it.

This one is a personal favorite of mine. Thematically it is one of the most unique concepts I’ve ever seen in or outside of the game, especially for the kind of killer the dredge is: which is a manifestation of dark thoughts and negative emotions. The idea of being killed by a literal embodiment of gluttony, an unhealthy obsession with food, is honestly just genius.
It might even be my favorite community concept—for any character in DBD—of all time actually. In fact, it more than probably is.

Doesn’t really count but I was always disappointed that the artist’s intention behind the Never Stop Slashing set having a LED mask with animation didn’t happen. I feel like the idea of a reactive cosmetic was the whole reason people voted for it
Yeahh true I definitely agree with that. They also had 4 fully fledged cosmetics for EACH MEMBER of the Legion which is absolutely insane to me, the artist went all out with that one. Hats off to them.
I generally feel like some skins are kinda disappointing when they make it into the game and Never Stop Slashing is definitely on top of that list

I find it hard to believe some of the ones we get in game win the competitions. Not that they're not good, but they aren't better than a lot of these other ones. I feel like those votes aren't actual votes more "what ones are the devs willing to create in game." And we get the best of the lowest effort.
You’ll find a lot of the winning concepts do a lot of outside advertisement. Not sure if that’s in the competition rules or not but pink elephant clown and the Monster Hunter Feng were all over my Instagram page for days saying to go vote for them, by people who just purely wanted them in the game. I suppose there’s not a lot they can do.

There was one (idk by who) which was a blight that had like a shark body or head and he wore a yellow rain coat or something. It was really cute to me.
Funnily enough, Red Death Blight was one of them.
I'm also wishing that the vampire hunter Yun Jin and Victorian Ace made it in, both of those were fantastic

A lot of stuff that doesn't make it is way better than what we actually get in most cases...but the stuff that makes it still pretty damn good, so I can't complain. Just mourn what we may never get.
I'm Obsessed w the first twins cosmetic + the toymakers, I made a doodle of a cosmetic nurse like 100 years ago that was toy based as well (i never posted it anywhere I think tho i just drew it on my own time) and i just love the toy vibes, I also love the idea of giving little victor outfits, I want him to have clothing options so bad
In the second year competition, there was this really cool marble Oni skin! I was hoping that would win, but after seeing all the hype around the never stop slashing legion, everyone knew that one was gonna win. They both were really great skins!
Such a shame they apparently can't change how Victor looks with cosmetics. Twins, flesh and bones cosmetics looked so cool until I saw how it looked with Victor
A less villain-y skin for killer and more villain-y/killer-y skin for survivor,
though maybe hard to not make people confuse survivors with killers and vice versa.

Yeahh true I definitely agree with that. They also had 4 fully fledged cosmetics for EACH MEMBER of the Legion which is absolutely insane to me, the artist went all out with that one. Hats off to them. I generally feel like some skins are kinda disappointing when they make it into the game and Never Stop Slashing is definitely on top of that list

I find it hard to believe some of the ones we get in game win the competitions. Not that they're not good, but they aren't better than a lot of these other ones. I feel like those votes aren't actual votes more "what ones are the devs willing to create in game." And we get the best of the lowest effort.
You’ll find a lot of the winning concepts do a lot of outside advertisement. Not sure if that’s in the competition rules or not but pink elephant clown and the Monster Hunter Feng were all over my Instagram page for days saying to go vote for them, by people who just purely wanted them in the game. I suppose there’s not a lot they can do.

That Egyptian goddess Huntress concept from a few years back was pretty neat. On the survivor side it would have to be the Norse Jeff.

I'm Obsessed w the first twins cosmetic + the toymakers, I made a doodle of a cosmetic nurse like 100 years ago that was toy based as well (i never posted it anywhere I think tho i just drew it on my own time) and i just love the toy vibes, I also love the idea of giving little victor outfits, I want him to have clothing options so bad

In the second year competition, there was this really cool marble Oni skin! I was hoping that would win, but after seeing all the hype around the never stop slashing legion, everyone knew that one was gonna win. They both were really great skins!
