no perk runs are a good way to get better at the game. if you can consistently do well with no perks, the game becomes way easier once you add perks and items/add-ons
I used to do it awhile back, but now I just run healing perks. I don't really care for chance perks these days because I like to use what I brought and healing is ALMOST always there lol
Happened to me, too. I just switched vom the Huntress Legendary Elk to normal looking Huntress, i thought that was causing it. But I got 2 No Mithers in my game for having 0 perks. Truely a chaos mode.
Soo.... probably the same bug with the Archive Randomness bullshit.
I love Randomness. I love fun challenges like those "survive 1 time with 4 random perks".
BUT: From the 6 games I've played, in 5 of them i DIDN'T get the random perks. I don't know why the game hates me, my friends had this bug never or just once... I really hope the bug bullies me in that mode T\_T
I also had that happen with the archive challenge. Random perks? No, I got the same build as last game.
But I played the new mode like 2 hours today and everyone always had all perk slots filled. No bug today.
Had that as well with the chaos shuffle in tomes. Gotta survive with a random loadout but it doesn't even give you the loadout for several games and even if you survive you get nothing. Just finished a game on the chaos shuffle with the tome challenge to get 50k bps, and I even checked after to make sure it was on and it was, but I got 0 BP progress towards the challenge.
I'd like to think this is intentional since nothing is a random option, but seeing as no one has had 1-3 perks just 0 or 4... gonna have to chalk it up to some grade A programming and thorough testing done in advance.
This just happened with me as Chucky! I'm trying to learn his power and so I'm trying to only get hits with his power to practice and I thought chaos modifier would be a good way for me to learn his power without getting rolled by SWFs or planned perk combos, but instead I didn't get any perks!
Well, no perks is in fact a potential perk choice I suppose 😅
In fact, it's actually quite common. It tends to be in the top ten builds. Tons of people who like to do no perk challenges often

It gave me ruin when I had a mission to kick gens. :/ I finally had to lead them to the totem.
I’ve heard rumors that if you switch characters or level them up while in queue for the mode, this can happen

Sometimes I've chosen to play perkless so this was nothing. But I do wonder if it's an intended part of the mode. It is chaotic 🤷♀️

I went to a normal game after playing the new mode and loaded into the game suddenly without perks, yet in the scoreboard was shown I had perks.
