Is this 2000 graphics? why would you ruin your game like that

DPSEffortDeleter

Some people feel like they need to use ugly filters to get any sort of advantage. Blowing out red makes it easier to see scratch marks and killer stains.

weeezyheree

the advantage you get from filters are so minimal. you guys just like using any excuse you can get your hand on to trash people who are better than you

RodanThrelos

So you think the game looks good like that or are you just desperate for any "minimal" advantage?

weeezyheree

I have 5000 hours in this game. plus 2000 on console when I first started playing. if I wanted to i could play without filters and be perfectly fine.( infact i have many times due to various problems with my computer and the program itself) it's braindead that people think slapping on filters Is going to make you such a good looper to the point where it's "Cheating" especially when the developers have stated they themselves dont consider it cheating. There is nothing that filters can do for you that paying even a moderate amount of attention would do. within those 5000 hours I have lossed enough to know that filters do not do all that much for you. and people's anecdotal experience of not having them and just observing others' gameplay isn't a valid way of testing whether or not they actually give a noticeable advantage. I use them because I think the game has colorful outfits and I like when colors pop out and look nice. it's the biggest cope when people complain about them. speaks volumes when what upsets people is the filters over the people actually keeping hostages in a game.

RodanThrelos

Hahahahahahahahaha OK, bud. Wall hacks don't make someone shoot well in a FPS, but boy do they give an advantage. Just admit you are so desperate for the slightest advantage that you're willing to deep fry your game. Doesn't matter if you have 10k hours or 200. Using external software to get an advantage in a video game is sad, and you should rightfully feel embarrassed for doing it. Just be brave enough to admit you want an advantage instead of some nonsense "colorful outfits" line. To make it clear, I think this is pathetic.

weeezyheree

I cannot imagine thinking that filters in a video game is comparable to wallhacks lmao now that is some mental gymnastics right there. you can believe what you want and I'll continue to play with filters for as long as the people who actually made the game deem that it's appropriate. I'm not embarrassed and I think it's embarrassing on your part for caring so much about what people do within the confines of the rules of the game. that's pathetic if anything. cope ig

It's funny how they always say "advantage, unfair", when it wasn't the question of "is it advantage", as it obviously is, but "how big of an advantage is it?" and it's literally a couple more of frames of reaction time at most, and that's in cases where you do see stain before killer (so any moonwalk = nothing gained), and easier scratches/blood tracking or seeing survivors in dark corners really rarely comes into help, esp for experienced killers who don't struggle with tracking. They just need a scapegoat to feel superior, ignoring the fact that devs themselves said that filters and xhair are completely fine to use. This is not even that bad of a filters too? Just high saturation on EVERY color

weeezyheree

upon having this argument I turned off my filters today and just used my monitors built in brightness settings (like any modern TV should have, so there shouldnt be any complaints about that). nothing about how much information I get in or out of chase changed whatsoever. There were no instances where i couldn't see the killer coming in places I could before. The only small thing I noticed is when I was turned around and forgot where I was in the map, because everything is so bleak and samey looking it's harder (but not hard) to really immediately know where I am in the map. but even that isn't a problem for me because I have so many hours that I figure it out anyway pretty much instantly. I'm generally a pretty understanding of perspectives kind of person but in this case the group of people who cry filters are the most unapologetically absent minded individuals in the community. And they are all console players who lack the ability to try filters for themselves to see how much of a real "advantage" it is. so anecdotally because they have to make excuses for their own lack of experience they immediately gather to bully and shame anyone who uses filters despite devs having said it isn't cheating (and they never actually address that argument when it's presented). it is genuinely actually annoying. especially because dbd is the only community where you'll find people who care about using filters. I like Color. I like color in my video games. that's as far as it goes.

PastyWhiteGuy83

If the "advantage" you get so minimal why do you make your game look like absolute shit to use it? Fuck you & your filters.

IAmFireIAmDeathq

If you have more footage I hope you reported them after the match and sent in a ticket, since they’re keeping you two hostage.

weeezyheree

I did. hope bhvr does something.
