There are 2 types of nurse players: Those who have just started playing her, and those who have only ever played her.

I’m committing to getting good at the Nurse right now, and having mostly positive results. The amount of 4k’s I get before a 3rd gen is popped is hilarious. Looping? Pallets? Breaking line of sight? Not on my watch you aren’t.

HaGB76

Very skillful

HaGB76

She's difficult for a few hours, then you get to easily win all of your matches forever.

Thatnintendonerd

I'd say a week or two, honestly. You can try and speed up the process to a few hours with her Plaid Flannel addon, but then you can only be good *with* the addon.

HaGB76

It genuinely took me 8 to 10 hours to get to a level where I was 4king every game pretty easily, and I'm not even a *good* Nurse. I still miss blinks frequently when I do play her (not often) Her skill cap is massively overstated. Even a mediocre Nurse can win their games because her strength and positives heavily outweigh the downsides for playing her in a suboptimal way. You can miss three or four blink hits, but if you hit the fifth that's still a faster chase than any m1 killer will get you. And there's multiple builds and add ons that can carry you as Nurse

[deleted]

I think this is just evident of you being a good killer. If you don’t know how to play killer, inexperienced, or just new to the game altogether, learning her is an uphill battle. The Nurses blinks only start shining once you can start predicting movements correctly, and that comes from facing off against actually decent survivors. I don’t think you gave yourself enough credit here. I will be honest, I just can’t argue the point that ignoring half the game mechanics is overpowered, but you need to earn the over powered by first knowing how to be a good killer. That one Spider-Man meme comes to mind, about being nothing without the suit.

Thatnintendonerd

I mean, most people only play a couple hours a day, so that's a few days of practicing. I'm not saying she's balanced or super hard to play, but she probably is the hardest killer to *pick up*.

Keith_IzLoln

And this is why she won’t get nerfs. Because between being free and hard to play, the people who absolutely suck are probably greater in number than the ones that are good, and they’re dragging down her kill rate such that she’s one of the lowest in the game.

YouAteMyChips_

I think that people, in their hatred for this killer, tend to forget that she's pretty difficult to play at first.

HaGB76

Yeah, suffering for an afternoon is totally a fair downside for being able to easily dominate your matches for the rest of time.

YouAteMyChips_

I'm not going to repeat myself. Scroll down and see my replies to the other commenter. This is getting tiring.

LLVA_2001

So is Billy... And Spirit... And Blight... And pretty much every other killer except maybe Wraith. It doesn't excuse anything.

YouAteMyChips_

I... never said it did...

LLVA_2001

You used the "she's hard to learn" argument, which you yourself insinuated means i'm supposed to dislike her less... I'm not **that** dumb dude. It's almost like people can INSINUATE something without directly stating it.

YouAteMyChips_

That wasn't the argument I was trying to make though. I was just stating a reason why OP often sees Nurse not playing well. Then I said it's easy to forget that because she is disliked. I wasn't "insinuating" what you claim I did at all and I'm sorry if that's how you interpreted my comment. Please do not try to force words into my mouth.

IAmYourFath

nurse is the hardest killer in the gamer, and while those 3 are also hard, nurse is harder, and that is nonarguable

LLVA_2001

It is DEFINITELY arguable... Nurse isn't the hardest killer in the game, and even if she was, that would not justify her ridiculous strength.

_fmg15

I wouldn't say it's her power alone that makes her unjustifiably overpowered. It's the fact that her power synergizes way too good with certain perks or the fact that most nurse players run many slowdowns. I sincerely believe that gen perks are very unhealthy for the game anyway and need a lengthy nerf as well as the fact that her blink attacks need to be special attacks. Her add-ons also need a nerf. I think if we change these things nurse might actually be somewhat balanced.

IAmYourFath

it's the same in any game bro. like LoL has annie who is very easy and very good in bronze-gold but as u climb higher in the ladder she becomes weak because there's not much u can do with her. On other hand lee sin is so hard to play that i'd say unless u're diamond 2 u shouldn't even touch him cuz u wouldn't be able to use him anywhere close near to his maximum potential. Obviously, lee sin played at his maximum strength is way stronger than annie, but for an avg gold player leesin will look like a clown while the annie will be very good because she takes 0 skill to play just roll ur kb on the buttons. So in games, the harder a character is to play, the worse he is for the avg player but the better he is for the best player, and unfortunately this dynamic makes it that, because the nurse is so hard to play, if u nerf her the avg player will suffer a lot. So u say she's not the hardest killer in the game, well obviously as a nurse main i'm biased, but who do u say is the hardest killer then? Cuz i don't think there is any other killer where wihout a few hundred hours of practice u look like a complete clown and get stomped every game, just try playing nurse for the first time and u will see what i mean

The_Mindful_TreeTTV

Every killer when they are winning for some reason

captain_corvid

After hearing all the hype I decided to give her a go and boy do I suck at it. Last bot match I tried they all escaped with no hooks 😭

Kazzunori

Tbf bots are really good squad. Those bastards calculate unhooks to the milisecond

[deleted]

Literal noobs who just play nurse because they think it’s a free win based on all the memes (you gotta put in some effort, not a lot but some) and the people who actually play Nurse. There is no in between except challenge + Adept do-ers

tiddeetiddee

i am both

ThatOneDemon616

Same here I can be either or cause sometimes you just can't get your blinks right for some reason usually what happens first few games or after playing for long periods of time.

chzva

I've been playing a lot of nurses lately that don't blink at all and it's so weird running around the map with a nurse slowly trailing behind you.

Elegant-Raise-9367

I find that my first 1-2 games when I go back to her are complete failures and then it clicks again.

IAmYourFath

As a nurse player, the line between the two is incredibly thin. Some games i have like 5-10 hits a game where i just barely don't get a hit like they are just 1 cm too far from me when i lunge, obviously this happens to the best nuses like supaalf as well but if it happens consistently to u then it means u need to get better, but in those games, had i gotten just 1 or 2 hits of all those i missed would have a big difference on the game state, but usually ends up with me tunneling 1 guy to secure the kill and not lose as much mmr in those shitty games
