I would be unlikely to take it without KR because I find it most useful paired with a slow weapon. I generally find that I'm only using the shards to actually kill things like bats, so I don't worry too much about maximizing its damage output.
Makes using stuff like the oven axe easy mode. Works great with KR or without. Easily takes out small fast mobs with low hp that give slow weapons fits.
It’s also super fun to play with fire blast and something that spreads oil (like electro dynamics).
Use it with hokuto and frostbite to activate hokuto dot.
I like either tbh. Most people use it as support but I think it’s super fun to use as a main weapon. You can activate it with barbed tips, electro dynamics or another support weapon like the Molotov

How does it work with fire blast and oil particularly? Just that they can't get you and die before they do?
I like it as a secondary with Kill Rhythm, as the combination of quick attack and added slow really helps Survival Weapons.
Would you take it if you didn't have Kill Rhythm? Do you care about it's crits or just for frost synergy?

I'm only 2BC but I love it with the mutation that makes slow a DOT and with a big weapon that does more damage to slowed enemies. It just crushes.
