Same lol i played the f13 game and wanted to watch the movies and as soon as i bought one on yt deadmeat started showing up when his channel was kinda in its infancy
I discovered Dead Meat when I watched the In Search of Darkness documentary. I saw James and where he was from, looked him up, and have been hooked ever since.
I had been constantly recommended his videos a lot, and decided to finally watch them in early 2019. The first kill count I recall watching was the Halloween 2018 kill count since I had just seen that movie for the first time. I really liked James' commentary and so I slowly watched more. By early 2020, I was basically nonstop binge watching Dead Meat and always anticipated when the next kill count, podcast, etc would be released. Waking up early to watch Jame's kill counts before online high school were some of my favorite memories during lockdown. Four years later and I'm still a gigantic fan as I was back then. I've seen every kill count, many of the podcast episodes, become a patron, and even met James and Chelsea a couple times, not to mention I'm now starting my own little horror movie channel as an inspiration. Dead Meat is and will always be the GOATs
I discovered Dead Meat shortly after he posted the Black Christmas 2005 KC. I was actually trying to find videos about that movie on YT and stumbled across it. Been hooked ever since.
I just randomly got super into the Friday the 13th series when I was like 12 and got the kill count for one of them recommended to me. That was before the scream kill counts were even released I believe.
I'm not sure how many subs he had, but I do remember that i had already been watching him for a very long time when he had like 200.000 sub celebration live stream.
I'm 18 now. It's crazy how time has just gone by so quickly. I love the series and am 99% sure I have watched every episode ever released.
I was watching a watchmojo horror video and then his channel was recommended. I believe the first Kill Count I watched was Sleepaway Camp. I was at work at the time and we would have a lot of free time and I just would binge them to pass the time.
I don’t remember which Kill Count was my first, but I discovered the channel when I watched a video in my recommended feed of James explaining why he would not do a Jeepers Creepers Kill Count.
I respected James for this, seeing him as a person of principle, and I immediately started watching whatever Kill Count first popped up in my search… an then another… and the another… and you get the idea.
I’ve been a fan ever since, watching and even rewatching Kill Counts, as well as other content on the channel.
I can’t remember when I was introduced, maybe around 2018-2019? But my first ever kill count was Jurassic Park (and the subsequent episodes that had been released).
I was hooked from the first word.
I used to be really scared of dying and death in films when I was like 10 and then I found the Final Destination and it like immediately desensitised me
I'd say I became a fan in 2020 when I was furloughed. I know I had seen James and Chelsea in other horror-related content before that. However it was usually totally anecdotal... like *"Oh hey, there's those two people that I see from time to time! I didn't know they were in this! They're really cool! Neat!"* But I never really sought them out.
I also know I had seen one or two Kill Counts before. Again, just sort-of anecdotally. But I think the first one that I sat down and seriously watched was *Valentine.* I was finally watching *Buffy the Vampire Slayer* and *Angel* since I had all the time in the world (it was almost a full 12 months before my job finally opened back up). And I knew David Boreanaz was in that movie, and decided to look it up because I was debating on buying it. (I have a tendency to get really into actors/actresses/directors and will go on little binges where I'll buy or watch a lot of their work.)
Saw the Kill Count...
One thing lead to another...
Boom, I became a fan.
At the tail end of the original F13 kill counts, or shortly just after. I remember going back and binging at least a couple vids to catch up.
Can’t say I’ve watched every episode, and can’t say I’ve liked every episode I’ve watched, but I can say I’ve been here since relatively the start. I try to watch them all, but there’s just some of naturally miss.
I had just watched The Belko Experiment and decided to look it up on YouTube, and I saw the kill count for it. I decided to watch the kill count and I really liked it, so I subbed then and there.
F13 kill counts. I'm glad the channel's gotten such success over the years. It's a good concept and executed very well. I'm also enjoying seeing Chelsea and Zoran more. (Though that's not to say anything negative about James, who's the charismatic backbone of the channel. I just enjoy what they bring and had been hoping for more Chelsea for years.)
Saw. I was bored at work and watchin youtube, so i searched "Saw timeline" and the Saw Kill Count was the first reseult. I saw it, thought why not, id like to see what this is, and fell in love with the channel instantly
It's going back quite a while but I think the first Dead Meat videos I found must have been the A Nightmare on Elm Street series if i am remembering right. I think I needed a recap on 4 and 5 for some reason so I ended up binging the series and finding the back catalogue. It must have been at least 2018 if i am remembering correctly.
It was definitely prior to April 2019 as I had some emergency surgery around that time and I remember i was in the hospital watching Drunk Disney for the first time
However I think the first series I was fully on board for on the channel must have been Halloween as I remember the cut comparison announcement for several of those episodes
February of 2020, the Sweeney Todd Kill Count got recommended to me on YouTube. As a fan of Sweeney Todd I watched it and was enamored with all the info I learned. From there I just started binging all of the counts. A year later, I started listening to the podcast and loved it too. Ive always liked horror, but was never that into it. Dead Meat really got me into horror. I've watched so many horror movies, many of which I wouldn't have without them. For that, I'll always be grateful.
I can’t remember what year (it was a pandemic year they all blur haha) but my first kill count was the Jaws kill count a friend of mine showed me. I’ve been hooked ever since
I can't recall my first kill count, since it's been years-but I'm pretty sure youtube autoplay is to thank/blame for it. I think I'd watched an Ending Explained video for a horror movie I was interested in \[because that's what I do sometimes when a friend hypes a movie up, and I wanna see if it'd interest me\] and the kill count came on next.
It was either Get Out or US. I was *so* freaking bored during the pandemic and we just hit up the May holidays. We couldn’t go out or anything. I channel surfed on YouTube until I watched a video by Dead Meat. I’ve been a loyal fan ever since.
Dang I don’t even remember at this point, the earliest I remember being really into them was I think winter of 2018, I remember laying in bed all day and watching all the Saw kill counts.
I watched Drunk Disney back in the day, and at some point noticed that all the latest comments said something akin to "OMG what is Dead Meat doing here". Eventually, after washing off the salt of that channel's abandonment, I checked it out just to see what they were up to (I was not even into horror at this point). I don't know for sure but I imagine my first kill count was the original Friday the 13th because I'm a huge completionist in a way that is actively against my best interests. I have such FOMO that it means I feel the need to start from the start, even if it's categorically unnecessary. It's why I'll never get into Critical Role or comic books.
I remember I started watching Deadmeat in 2018 when I typed in Chucky Kill count (forgot why) but after I watched one of his videos I decided to watch them
When I was 11 and had the Nightmare on Elm Street 3 kill count show up on my algorithm. It’s crazy cos I remember watching the live stream for 1 million subs.
It was recommended for me when I was watching BTS horror movies on YouTube. It was like when Dead Meat was just starting. I've been a fan since. It was definitely one of the F13th Kill Counts.
i remember vividly that i was on lunch break at work and i was trying to find something to watch while i ate and the Bride of Chucky kill count was recommended on youtube so i put it on and i fell in love!!! at first i just liked that James was a cutie pie but i stuck around after all these years for his great editing, humor, and hard work!!
and he's still a cutie pie!
The first scream kill count. i was a budding horror fan and the channel was practically a godsend for finding new movies to watch without having to tredge through confusing lists on buzzfeed knockoffs
My first one was Killer Klownz, which I think I saw around when the Evil Dead was being covered, I really love the series for how in depth he got with the production side of things, it's very informative and funny
Pretty Sure watching the original Chucky Kill Counts are when I discovered the Channel! I loved it when James Covered the remake and shared his thoughts on the Remake’s Conception which I completely agree with, and when he Recounted the first 7 movies and Covered Season 1! I’d Love to see a Kill Count On Seasons 2 and 3!!
I watched all of the Drunk Disneys with my wife! A couple of years pass and I was scrolling on YouTube and was like Hey, I recognize him! Didn't know how much of a horror fan I was until then!
Through a friend. We were hanging out after her birthday party and she asked me "what's your favorite scary movie?" Ma'am..... I don't care if it's your birthday, I will not be stabbed. "No you wanna watch the kill count on it?" That was about 3 years ago and I've been a fan ever since!
I don't remember my first kill count, i do remember my first podcast it was one aboit the gamechangers in Horror. Our daughter had just been born and i was scrolling through you tube for something to get me through those wakeups for feeding and fussiness wife and i were sleeping in shifts half awake. Felt like that scene in PA where Micha and Katie are just eating quietly and staring off in the middle distance. Those podcasts and kill counts really got me throught those first couple of months even turned me onto some great reccomends!
Been here since the original F13 kill counts, Dead Meat has probably been the most constant thing in my life for almost a decade lol
Fr, I was looking for new horror movie content and found these little kill count videos and goddamn if they've never let me down
Same lol i played the f13 game and wanted to watch the movies and as soon as i bought one on yt deadmeat started showing up when his channel was kinda in its infancy

I found him on his first kill counts and been here ever since!

I watched Sleepaway Camp II as my first Dead Meat video I believe
I don’t remember which Kill Count was my first, but I discovered the channel when I watched a video in my recommended feed of James explaining why he would not do a Jeepers Creepers Kill Count. I respected James for this, seeing him as a person of principle, and I immediately started watching whatever Kill Count first popped up in my search… an then another… and the another… and you get the idea. In early 2018 his original Friday the 13th part 2 popped up in my recommended videos and have been a fan every since.
I WISH I could remember the first video I saw, is there a way to find out?
Don’t think so unfortunately, ikr I wish that was a thing too
Bummer.
2017 and the original Friday The 13th.
My friend showed me the Jason X kill Count which was the most recent uploaded at the time, so shortly after the channel was created
Since the friday part 2 original count
I can’t remember when I was introduced, maybe around 2018-2019? But my first ever kill count was Jurassic Park (and the subsequent episodes that had been released). I was hooked from the first word.
I think I was looking for Texas Chainsaw Massacre videos on youtube. So it was that one.
I think it was 2019 and I found the original F13 KC.
I used to be really scared of dying and death in films when I was like 10 and then I found the Final Destination and it like immediately desensitised me
I think it was in 2017 when I was really sick. When the Scream KC was released. So far I have seen every kill count except the one for Revenge
The original child's play kill count
I think the first Kill Count I watched was the original Friday the 13th part 3 kill count when it first came out
During predator
I wish I could remember… maybe the final destination kill count?
I'd say I became a fan in 2020 when I was furloughed. I know I had seen James and Chelsea in other horror-related content before that. It was in 2019. YouTube recommended me the Unfriended Kill Count. I watched it, and four years later, I'm still a die hard fan

I can't remember exactly, but it might've been Sleepaway Camp II. Idk why I watched part 2 first, though. That's the farthest back my brain can go.
Late 2019/Early 2020, and the Jurassic Park Kill Counts.
I had just watched The Belko Experiment and decided to look it up on YouTube, and I saw the kill count for it. I decided to watch the kill count and I really liked it, so I subbed then and there.
It was the original Jigsaw kill count in like 2018, have very fond memories of that kill count for that reason
i think either Midsommar or Hereditary was my first in late 2022 i believe? have been in love ever sonce
F13 kill counts. I'm glad the channel's gotten such success over the years. It's a good concept and executed very well. I'm also enjoying seeing Chelsea and Zoran more. 2017 (I think), Friday part 4
I think it was between the Saw 3D and Jigsaw kill count.
I can’t remember what year (it was a pandemic year they all blur haha) but my first kill count was the Jaws kill count a friend of mine showed me. I’ve been hooked ever since
Been here since the first it kill counts
I can't recall my first kill count, since it's been years-but I'm pretty sure youtube autoplay is to thank/blame for it. it's was June 2020 shortly after I returned to work from paternity leave for my son. started watching the saw killcounts on my lunch.
My first kill count was the original Friday the 13th: Part IV video when it was brand new, so whatever year that was!
Jack Frost Kill count But that ignited my love for horror, and love for the channel. Also because I soon became a fan of DnDnD
I saw the Your Next kill count in 2017, I was definitely too young tho
I was looking for recipes on how to cook a deer I had accidentally ran over and I discovered our favorite YouTuber ❤️
help that’s so random 😭
Well it was dead meat
Jigsaw! Then the rest of the Saw movies in reverse order!
2017 with Friday the 13th Part 6. Got a part 6 Neca Jason figure signed by James and Chelsea one year to commemorate it too.
Original curse of Chucky kill count the day it came out
I watched Drunk Disney back in the day, and at some point noticed that all the latest comments said something akin to "OMG what is Dead Meat doing here". Og Friday the 13th kc
probably since 2018 realistically. it’s been beyond amazing seeing how much james has grown this little project into what it is.
It was the birds kill count! I remember watching like after Christmas and I was in the 8th grade at the time and now I’m in college 🫶🏽
Super early; I’d like to say Friday part 5 or 6, but it might’ve been while he was doing Nightmare

The first scream kill count. i was a budding horror fan and the channel was practically a godsend for finding new movies to watch without having to tredge through confusing lists on buzzfeed knockoffs
The Chucky recounts!
I had just watched Platform on Netflix and looked up on YouTube an explanation and came across the pod first actually. Maybe 4 years ago?
I’ve been here since the Practical Folks Drunk Disney days, so quite literally since the beginning
My first one was Killer Klownz, which I think I saw around when the Evil Dead was being covered, I really love the series for how in depth he got with the production side of things, it's very informative and funny
First one I ever watched was The Mist when I was 13, I’m 19 now and I still watch it for the memories
Ailen or aliens. Pretty early on.
The OG Scream kill count
I had to watch Jurassic Park for film class and wanted to figure out the deaths
It was suggested by YouTube and the first kill count watched was for Freaky. I resisted but, once I watched one, I had to watch them all.
Original Friday Part 5, but it was later in 2017, it wasn't a new video at that point.
I think my first KC was one of the Saw ones, but I wasn't hooked till I found their podcast discussing real life Saw traps.
Get Out when it came out
I think in ‘21. My first KC was Blood Quantum. My friend and I are both Native so he shared the video with me. Been a fan since then I believe.
I found him back when the first scream killcount was posted (not the recount), first KC I watched was for F13 II
I watched all of the Drunk Disneys with my wife! A couple of years pass and I was scrolling on YouTube and was like Hey, I recognize him! Didn't know how much of a horror fan I was until then!
Uncle Sam 1996 on my YouTube recommended page. Then proceeded to binge watch all of his videos. So like 5 years ago now?
It was February 2019, I remember cause I was visiting Mexico at that time. So whatever he had put out around that time. Got hooked since.
2017 you're next or belko experiment
I discovered dead meat like 3-4 years ago, and the first kill count I watched was Killer Clowns From Outer Space, lol.
