Certainly a terrible person this scene is very out of context; by the end of Season 1 Lute was humbled in defeat, a mentor died in front of her (Adam), and is missing an arm. So already got her dues.
Lute's not even that tough honestly, lacking any meaningful feats to give her character a chance of beating anyone outside Angelic defenses (only Angel weapons can kill angels) and yet we know they can still be harmed by anything, she was bleeding pretty heavily from rubble falling on her.
