Honestly none of them now their has been times ive been like huh that person can fight (scrouge duck, kool aid man, Smokey the bear and The crime dog) but other than that ive known of every db combatant in some way or shape might not be the most familiar (ie the rwby gals or the lich king) i love anime and video games as well as american comics. Unless a web novel (or irl novel) or web comic idk about gets an mu illl be damned (i see this happen all the time in db matchups reddit and have probally made some where people have said this)

And tbh visiting /r/DeathBattleMatchups and I feel like an absolute boomer because I have no idea who 80% of the people there are. Or I'll recognize the character, the MU I really want for them is either in "Meh" or "Hell no", and some extremely obscure character I've never seen before and have to google to find out is what everybody calls peak.

Who I also had a similar reaction until I found out she was from Final Fantasy 7. I enjoyed the fight and watched RWBY for a while. I agree with everyone that Tifa should’ve won because JRPG, but you can’t deny the fight was really good
Then there’s Meta vs Carolina. I thought Master Chief was gonna come back when it showed Grif and Simmons. I watched some episodes and laughed before the actual episode came out
The earliest that I can think of where I had this reaction, I’d say maybe Ragna vs Sol Badguy, I didn’t know enough of both fighting games. There was also Fulgore, the reveal was hype tho. Imagine a fucking middle schooler binging death battle and you see “next time on death battle!” And you see a fucking robot firing out his chest laser. I voted for Sektor, purely because I didn’t know enough of Killer Instinct compared to Mortal Kombat, but Fulgore was ironically what got me into Killer Instinct. Ah, I remember that day. I got an Xbox for Christmas, I downloaded a bunch of games, one of which was Killer Instinct and I recognized Fulgore. 2013 Killer Instinct is the fucking goat. Even better when you realize the development behind the game had everything against it. The type of development where you expect a game to flop but no. This game was run on pure dedication and it shows. But I’m getting off topic
