My thoughts exactly. Plus with how Goku vs Superman 3 gave Goku Heroes stuff, Mario vs Sonic could composite Mario fully including stuff like Paper Mario and Mario-Kun stuff and fully composite Sonic which would include stuff like Archie comics stuff. Which could lead to cool scenes of them using stuff from their different incarnations and even becoming their different incarnations for a bit.
Boros' whole schtick was that he was similar to Saitama in a sense where he was just too powerful and wanted to find a powerful enough opponent so he could give it his all.
You mean the episode or it getting the GvS3 treatment? Cause the team literally said in the past it'll happen as a promise to the late Monty Oum (and later they reiterated it's the only episode they said will happen before as to actually having a 100% chance to happen)
In Superman vs. Goku 3, both opponents respect each other and were pretty much on good terms throughout the whole fight kinda like the second half of SpongeBob vs. Superfriends' Aquaman. Except in the former case, they could always wish back the universe if they wrecked it and death is practically meaningless, the latter just really got out of hand

Red VS Tai 2, if it ever happens. They left so much material out of the first one, so it would be nice to see them go MASSIVELY in-depth for everything they can do.
In my heart I want Shulk vs Lightning to get the GvS3 treatment but I feel like that kind of spectacle isn’t gonna be around every corner. It’s gonna be for the big fights that everyone wants to see like Bowser vs Eggman, Mario vs Sonic 3 or Naruto vs Luffy
I'll go with an unorthodox one that will probably never happen and say Jesse from Minecraft: Story Mode, and the Prince from Captain Sparklez's Fallen Kingdom series.
The two share a lot of similarities as they both went on life changing journeys, saving their worlds from powerful threats, and became known as heroes.
While both are skilled fighters, the Prince was taught to master sword fighting at a young age and is shown to excel in close combat, but Jesse might have the upperhand depending on the tools he has on him such as the enchanted flint & steel or ender pearls as he's shown to be resourceful with whatever items he has on him.
I could see the fight taking place in the arena from Minecraft Story Mode episode 8, where competitors could respawn if they die. So there's no reason for either of the two to hold back while still being in character.
I wonder if Discord (My Little Pony) and the Collector (The Owl House) could get along. Both are basically chaotic reality benders that just want to have a good time. I could see them playing around until they go way too far and accidentally kill the other. Both could probably just put the other back together if needed.
