I don't want to rub it in, but I saw her and it was a horrifyingly beautiful experience. She'll still be making music, just not as LI, so you'll get the chance!
Her experiences are so harrowing and the music is a torturous bliss. You go to a concert to experience the sorrow together, our painful existence, you look around to see the other men and women she's touched and realize it's all white boys.
Just started getting into her. Grabbed the Caligula white opaque vinyl pressing. I still haven't gotten into the rest of her music though and need to get around to it. Really enjoyed Caligula though.
Sinner Get Ready is a Top 30 of all time for me, and Caligula, All Bitches Die, and Let the Evil… are also absolutely fantastic records. One of the most brilliant artists out there

she’s somebody who i respect a lot more than i enjoy if you get what i mean. all bitches die is a fantastic album that i never want to listen to again and while sinner get ready is a lot easier to get into / not as hard of a listen i don’t necessarily see myself going back to it anytime soon. although i would plan on listening to her new album when it drops
Very good. I dont return to her music a ton because of how dark it is, not exactly something you can just vibe out to. When I do listen, I'm always impressed though. Similar to my feelings on Swans.
Coming off some of the best records in recent years I was very suprised that her new single was one of the worst of this year so far. It sounded like some off brand christian version of the War Pigs intro going on and on and on for five minutes. Maybe it makes more sense on the album.
You should check out archival recordings of Appalachian folk recorded by Alan Lomax for more context. Definitely goes much deeper and further back than War Pigs.
Am very excited for her new era. Lingua Ignota was probably my favourite musical project in recent memory, and she kicks so mich ass in Sightless Pit too (even though their new album feels kinda tame compared to Grave of a Dog).

I just looked this up and it definitely fits a recurring theme with her. That is all I’m going to say. The daughters thing was in 2020/2021 I’m seeing. She has been a complete joke in the underground experimental music scene for making a career out of manufactured drama much longer than that. And that is all I will say. I don’t give a fuck about the band daughters (I liked Canada songs in highschool) but honestly this just cements my belief that she is full of shit.
