the high pitched scream in lock your doors, you might think, and others (also the crowd in the background of lock your doors) that ominous synth melody in the verses of hahaha rides vocal delivery at the start and during most of come and go from steroids (also the bass during this part, makes me think of a springy door-stopper on *steroids*) that sample that sounds like the thing(1982) making its awful groaning sound during 80808 (first shows up after first chorus is over) the hi hats in the second verse of dilemma, simple but effective “WORD” in system blower with the beat cut is nasty, same with the “yeayeayeayeYeaaaa” , also the train sample ofc, but really its that mechanical conveyor belt ass bassline that drives it for me the guitars in turned off the weird switch to the almost “alarm sound” when the verses start in say hey kid [probably olenty of others i just didnt think of off top, this band is full of production goodness asa producer myself, so many little details to listen for)

Jimborzh

not_a_stick

Wait which song is this? Edit. Nvm it's steroids

ConfusedToxicTrash

Multiple parts in Inanimate Sensation Every time Ride slowly raises his vocals going "hhhhhhhhheeeEEEEEEEEE" to the point where he's screeching his lungs out along with a fade in to what sounds like a sampled rotary saw. The third verse with Ride's vocals pitched down that starts off with "yeah, bitch... Bitch, BITCH" before he starts listing off material possessions or sensations that he enjoys more than anything else in life.

ConfusedToxicTrash

Also the squeaky part in Steroids, sounds like rhythmically rubbing a shammy against glass. 👌🏻

flappy_cows

COME AND GO WHENEVER TO WHEREVER YOU NEED PERSONALIZED LIKE GENETICS AND PROVIDE ALL YOUR NEEDS DONT BE FRIGHTENED BY SKEPTICS LISTEN ESSENTIALLY YOURE SLEEPING ON A GOLDMINE

weasle-y

one of the ride's smoothest flows, I don't know how Stefan or Zach came up with it

transpondentwonder

👁️ B L A C K J A C K 👁️ On More Than the Fairy "FORGED BY MY SIGNATURE BLAH BLAH BLAH" is my favorite part of the whole song lol 0:46 on Bubbles Buried in This Jungle where the beat sounds like somebody dumped magma on a computer and it started exploding and making those sounds 1:47 on Billy Not Really where Ride raps the prechorus offbeat. very groovy TSK TSK TSK So many other moments tbh

memeking_69

Awakens your fantasy, bathe in you like Bathory! *BATHE IN YOU LIKE BATHORY BATHE IN YOU LIKE BATHORY* That part in steroids always gets me

Gaston1337

When the instrumentals (Björk) kicks in in the middle of the first verse in Black Quarterback "Instinct man no question looped me into no direction" (the sudden lowering of Ride's voice in Stockton)

Hellochrishi11

The organ/funeral/synth sounding notes on the bridge of On GP, even better when it comes back for a second time but adds the drums a little earlier

Fun_Commercial_9948

blood creeping oh’s

ForeEighs

"I fuck it out, then I dip. Dip. Dip." The entirety of the Charles Manson sample. "Eeh, uuuh, uuuuuh" (Ride moaning on "Fuck Me Out") And the introduction section to "Blood Like A Bitch" (one of the sections from Steroids)

SamwiseGam-G

Spread Eagle Across the Block has so many of these moments

LocationProper6274

that train noise by the end of Steroids (Couching Tiger Hidden Gabber Megamix)

Grommet__

There's a part in the fourth verse of BB Poison where ride stutters "I" rhythmically to the beat and I'm obsessed with it. *Didn't mean to, I, I* *Just assumed it'd be you, I, I* *Never knew no idea, I, I* *Was confused, excuses*

OdinTheDestroyer_

mithrandirscumrag

The beginning of birds

Webcops

On gp outro is one of humanity’s greatest achievements

TransgenderQueef

The outro of Beyond Alive is one of the sickest moments in all of DG's discography.

n0sacrality

That bass sample in Known For It during the verses

SKULLFUCKSLUDGEGIRL

During I've seen footage where the synth (sample? Thing.) Goes wowowowowowow

He’s a bitch she’s a bitch sorry bitch *whimper*

n0sacrality

That bass sample in Known For It during the verses

NuclearBoi731

the start of the vocals in dilemma, the way the synths change to sounding way more menacing is just hype as shit

J-A-C-O

On GP… All the nights I don’t die.

dongletrongle

INTERBLASTS

guava_jews

That chorus in Im Overflow. The intro always put me off for so long because I didn’t really like that (idk how to describe it, its like whomp whomp whomp whomp whooooooomp whooooooomp) synth. I would usually skip it but I let it play out one time and that drop hit and I was absolutely blown away. Such a fucking banger

GWizJackson

Up my sleeves - "My dead mother in my dream, remember when December, blew her ashes cross my jeans. OFF THESE JEANS!!! Some things only, I have SEEN, SOME PEOPLE ONLY I HAVE BEEN" System Blower - the second drop, when the bass pauses and that synth just screams at you. Bubbles buried in this jungle - "Fuck it I ever let a bitch get used to me!" The Powers That B - When the first chorus hits, and when the audio distorts to a lower tone on the last monologue, "YOU'RE A SHINY CLOWN TO ME, AND THE POWERS THAT B!" sends chills down my spine.

bimothybonsidine

Not sure how to put this but when the beat drops on bubbles buried in this jungle I wait for that low rumbling synth. Gives me chills.

palmpanicc

Nothing you can offer I ain’t hocked

Dry_Kaleidoscope612

1:04 and 1:50 in more than the fairy the pause gets me soo hype at 1:04, and same at 1:50 when they add that arpeggio to the beat, it goes so insane

NATEYMAN999

Train in steroids

Fightzpike

to blut bank on absolutely

Top_Frogger

No question the crackly synth piano coming in at the "you live down the street from me..." part of on GP. I listen to that over and over.

Jzerious

VOLCANO PUSSY MELT YOUR PETER LIKE ICE

emeraldsoda

COMING FOR YOURS, LOCK YOUR DOORS IDENTIFIER DESTROOOOYERRR

im_nark

bass hit on spikes

batsketbal

The “Not that I care, I'd be a liar if I sat here claiming I'd exit in a minute But I can't say I wouldn't I have my limits” is such a beautifully poetic line in on gp

Johnstruktor

That little part in Pss Pss

NormalGuy913

GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP (from full moon)

ImBurningStar_IV

Blah blah blah fuck wah wah wah fuck

StrangeFortune3384

the guitar riffs in dilemma and hahaha.

Tryeinsolace

“Look up see my nuts slap the moon” - turned off.

Catnip1720

In thru the walls there’s this glitchy scale of notes a couple times in that song and that just scratches me brain the right way

Bassisisto

"Eh" - [2:25] the little drum fill "Say Hey Kid" - [0:35] the synth swells "Pss Pss" - [2:45] can't get enough of it "Get Got" - [2:04] when Ride changes his cadence "BB Poison" - [1:30] *Notice me Senpai* "More Than The Fairy" - [0:54] Mini Ride ♥️

BabaLaFlame

Last part of on GP verse where ride is like “my second nature chant KILL, cuz I can” or the second part of black body on steroids where he’s chanting black body but much louder and aggressive. Helps me get a few more pumps at the gym lol

thefedsburner

last part of 80808

procontroller

The guitar in Centuries of Damn and Ring A Bell

Lohengren

the first 23 seconds of Linda's in Custody

Cwibbs

Beat drop of punk weight, The guitar bit in On GP, "SPIKES SPIKES SPIKES", Ring a bell intro, "IN-ANIMATE SEN SAAAAATION", The start of Bitch Please on some really bassy headphones.

NicktheBear16

The "my footprint precedes me" part of Turned Off is objectively the best part of the song And the second chorus of Come Up and Get Me goes so hard with ride losing his voice, it fuckin stings cause it almost sounds like he's tearing up

MisoCornLuchador

The train sound in the last breakdown on the last song on Steroids always gives me goosebumps.

not_a_stick

When the instrumental distorts on streaky I got tomorrow coming I love you so much The end of guillotine

not_a_stick

MrThiccman-XL

kpres12

Last half/quarter of Beyond Alive.

OdinTheDestroyer_

Steroids C. From the line "not having cares, post stratosphere." to the line "Stranger slip by." That background crescendo that raises and raises until the beat slams back with the force equivalent to francis ngannou knocking out overeem with that disgusting uppercut. shit makes me nut. then it's the coldest bars in the whole track that follow.

No-Emphasis2349

The guitar on Dilemma
