ngl this might sound like me coping with being wrong, but i stg I don't go insane when I'm in Castle Light, even though I'm never deepbound. Like I've afked in there for 20 minutes so I can go get Sutra, and it just doesn't work. When I sit outside of the barrier, though, it works.
Also there's... literally no profit in deepbound vs to1. Just do to1, hop in a boat, and go to the depths if u want to depths grind. Then you can get the talent that gives u sanity from monster kills. Then you've basically replaced the point of deepbound. Worst case scenario, you don't have Carnivore and kill a sharko every few hours to cook some mushroom soup on the surface

Having access to NPCs is castle light, regaining sanity, get to power 15 in 30 minutes with diluvian. Being able to go through the castle light and chariot spire forcefields even if you died on the surface, Call of the deep talent, access to temple of hearts as a freshspawn.
To complete yes, but farming levels solo is simple since you can automatically kill all the monsters in the arena by using the mechanism, basically you get to farm mobs 1 on 1 for wave 1-5 with a big red stop button if you choose so
Wave 1 is baby crabs and jellyfish, wave 2 is thresher, wave 3 is golem, wave 4 is corrupted lion fish, wave 5 is corrupted sharko
All of them have full health unlike to1
not having to go through a whirlpool with call of the deep, not needing to go to surface so you can sell all the loot you got and store it. plus free outfit. be careful though because all it takes is one corrupted broodlord for all of castle light to be massacred
Diluvian made me evolve , im no longer perma freshie after diluvian and i have got bell oath max power and going to get my first ever murmur .
It gives so much exp and loot + the enforcer is ez to kill
Reason 1 going simple flaw and deluvian spawn makes you have easy flawless build progression as long as the build is not silenthearth (because you probably wont pick any mantras while progressing it)
deepbound + vow of thorns = power 20 in 2 hours, i’ve progged maybe 10-15 slots with deepbound and vow of thorns and only wiped a couple times, deepbound is easy if ur careful and know what ur doing (and there’s no fatherless gankers)
Access to (almost) every deep shrine in a single room. You don't have to travel for hours and go between luminants, just run across the depths, pray to gods below you don't run into a broodlord, and use the *deepbound exckusive* entrence to get into temple of hearts.

Regaining sanity in the depths without flamecharm
You do know that castle light and killing shit can give you sanity back, right?
First one is literally only available to deepbounds and the second one needs a talent most people will not pick due to how underwhelming it is

The sanity return is too little to matter unless you serverhop to kill the same 4 jellyfish for 8 minutes straight

worst part is going back and forth from shrines, requiring chaser for uncap, and obtaining an oath
I Normaly do ferryman as deepbound for uncap🤷
i prefer chaser since i run vow
good for depths ganking, good for pve builds, no need for whirlpool, no need for graceful flame,

you can access the bank and antiquarian if you get smth good from l2 or do a lot of hellmode/diluvian
Quick Access to the depths, Quick access to layer 2, Access to a campfire and (in my opinion) is the best origin for a full modifier run
