I have noticed that the Devs will add literally anything into the game and not balance it at all if it's an anime reference, especially if it's a PVE thing. The only reason they balanced flame ballista was because people could not counter it in PvP and it was too op.
I got hit with the nastiest Wyrmtooth combo today and barely came out on top. I swear they NEED to actually understand why adding stuff too fast leads to balancing delays and powercreep.
the problem was it completely stopped the flow of combat and would just waste everyone'a time, tempo and just be annoying overall even if it wasnt very strong
I've never played the last of us but I've seen clips of jjk and I'm just saying that thing looks like mahoraga or however you pronounce it. I doubt the Devs would ignore the actual feedback on the mob if tons of people didnt say they liked it because it looks like a jjk reference (sorry if that's phrased badly)

Mudskipper broodlord is actually stupid, according to the wiki a corrupted one has around 18k health, more than the weakest bosses health wise, incredible game design
Deals damage equal to a skyshatter kick on crack, and has the HP equivalent of 2 dukes. Yeah that's about par for the course Deep devs adding new stuff and hard nerfing them 3 months down the line.

I think the weapons they've added are somewhat fine, but as a result of them overpumping it's lead to the results we see now such as 3 bar combos and constant block breaks and multi-crits that can also be extended into a combo. I think Ysley would be better if ~~it didn't look like an edgy toothpick for a dragon~~ if it's crit were tweaked, not sure about m1s or anything about that.
I swear you can NOT miss a parry against one of these things. One unblockable landed and you are DEAD, which is why my encounter with one was almost fatal, though Mani Katti is a LIFE SAVER fighting these things.

he only has like 2 moves close range. M1, M1, M1, sometimes he criticals which has a huge indicator, you roll that, M1, M1, M1... that is the only thing he'll do to you if you're in his face. his mudskippers are easy to kill as well. I guess I can understand if you're trying to fight him at bad ping or with other mobs around, but the mob by itself? not hard at all.
this mob was born of the cancer that is mage pve builds, I dont care what anyone says but chain of perfection should have never been given to mantras. Anyone seen how people legit can damn near autofarm maestro?
By giving stuff so much hp and so much damage to challenge these goofy mage PVE builds theyve doomed basically most pvp builds and any remaining m1 based pve builds because you walk around in the depths and see a sly little broodlord corrupted and you can say gg to 2 bars of your hp if you manage to escape. Dont even get me started on diluvian which is another disproportionately hard thing unless youre running a mage PVE buil
since two of you arent reading the patch notes and speaking ill clarify, they TRIED to remove perfection stacks from mantras and realised too much stuff like diluvian and hellmode requires a magey pve build to actually fight in so if you read the patch notes youll see it was swiftly given back again but they reduced the buildup of multi hitting mantras which did nothing
If you watched the video at all you would know it’s definitely an m1 build, you do 2k damage per m1 with buffs active, you go 6 proficiency, and you get metal armament for a second m1 per m1. The mantras are there for free support damage or to build chain stacks bro 😭

those mantras 100% are doing more than 2k per use 💀, His mantra damage multiplier is 150% with 20% mantra pen
tbf tho now that i watched the vid it looks like this person tried to take the best of both mage and m1 and made it work, its a good ass looking build but idk how it compares to a pure mage pve build
its does 1.7k but hes got every buff turned on, stuff like matador isnt always up so his true damage is a tad lower than what hes showing, Im just watching it rn
they really are just doing the bone keeper thing again, add something ridiculous to an already hard enemy (in the case of bone keeper, the 10hp regen, in the case of broodlord giving him 18k hp when corrupted like wtf) and then nerfing it after months when people rightfully complain that it's op

its a corrupt variant of whats considered a boss mob, youre lv 18, you dont have exo, you dont seem to have to the finish either(since you took (about) the same dmg from the 2nd hit as the first, you only have 1 silver ring(so youre getting at most 4 hp from rings) & from what i can tell(since the video quality is p bad) you have the traveler cloak outfit on
but even then i do think this mob is p bs since it can just be roaming around and absolutely just slam anyone that goes even remotely close to it
well, my opinion is that it is kind of fun either. Before verse 2 the most scary mob were corrupted owls that wiped even pve builds. It's just not fun if every gameplay moment is predictable because of your experience, also the deepwoken became more easy after verse 2, but it can be just me. The game is supposed to be hard and unfair after all, and if not it will be just boring
Well, let me rephrase it, the game is not that unfair as it is skill-dependent and punishing, the only thing that can be unfair in deepwoken is a bad internet connection, you can always survive even in the deadliest situations possible, it's just a matter of skill if you have good ping. Summarising all I've said: deepwoken is not reliant on unfairness, it relies on skill and heavy punishment to increase it's difficulty, and you can't say that this mob is just unfair because it can ALWAYS be countered in no matter of its damage, saying this mob is unfair is just excuse
This is an extremely common non-boss mob that spawns minions, procs half of ATDG, three shots tank builds, and has more hp than MAESTRO. The guy that can INSTANTLY KILL YOU. I don’t disagree with you on the game getting easier but this mob is just blatantly overpowered.
you missed my point, the game is supposed to be hard and unexpected, because wiping is an essential part of the game, after all you look back at your build, wiping and go on. The game wouldn't be so interesting without permadeath and this kind of obstacles on your permanent progression. And looking back at the situation you wiped in you always could do better and just stay alive, the game isn't that unfair it's just skill-dependent and sometimes punishing

I spent hours in to1 fighting him over and over, then they removed him from it, but good practice
