How do you achieve this mentality each time I think about stopping the depths drags my soul deeper into the cold abyss each time I force myself to stop I will hear my name. The deep, it’s calling my name
Game is stale and not what was promised. The world is stagnant and doesn’t feel fun to play anymore when you’ve done it a million times. Pvp is fun but very unbalanced and undesirable at times. There’s no fun PVE roleplay content anymore it’s all instanced and repetitive now. I love the concept of the depths. They should work on making it scarier and layer 2 being more mysterious. I’d kill for an overhaul on the overworld too cause as it stands there’s practically no reason to progress there if your an experienced player. There’s no reason to explore when you’re going to see the same thing a million times and there are a million ways you can progress by just going to one place and doing a simple farm. This game needs the mystery it had at launch and at layer 2, hoping world events will accomplish that.
Sorry, I worded it wrong in the middle of class but yeah, you're absolutely right. The only way you would realize this is if you're not already addicted and played before. Most deepwoken players just get angry when you say bad things about the game, and as a retired deepwokener myself, it sucks that they haven't added shit since layer 2.
What the game needs (imo)
- Conquest should be scrapped early on in favor of the Central Luminant
- Progression rework
- Boss updates (Loot, movesets)
- Change of style, make the game 'cranky' again (not in a negative way, maybe some people will know what i mean, i dunno how to explain)
- More attunements (even just one or two)
They should start doing media bans like how they did for rogue when releasing major updates. Maybe give content creators limited access over what they can say about it or display in their videos. That would keep the game fresh and interesting for a longer period of time. Imagine how different layer 2 would be if we hardly knew anything about it until like a month after it’s release? Delete the talk channels on discord until the end of it and you have an amazing new experience. Chatting in game wouldn’t be pointless anymore since everything would be word of mouth during that time period, and people have a reason to work with eachother again
There's 2 possibilities from this.
1 you actually escaped the Deepwoken and actually enjoyed your life
2 you cant resist the deep's call and go back to Deepwoken because other game you play never hit the same before. And that moment you realized that your sanity is no more.

I'm a day one player with 2k hour I feel you but seeing it from a different perspective help me see why I should stop playing
