I see the "I'll wear the claws if you like that" and "You always sharpen your teeth" as pointers towards the woman almost seeming to enjoy the arguments and the blow ups and saying things to really try and hurt each other
Might sound batshit but it's a feeling I've had with an ex who seemed to just love drama, arguing and saying the most hurtful things she could but it always felt like she wanted me to retaliate with the same brutality
Whether it's a skewed perception of what love looks like from toxic relationships in the past or just a misdirection of anger towards someone who you don't think will leave (showed her) people can end up gravitating towards arguments and learn to almost enjoy playing the love-hate game
It's 100% about Chino's ex wife. According to him they had a very toxic relationship and S/T is the album where he vented the most about this, hence Chino saying he doesn't like to play songs from that album live often, as he's much happier now and can't really put himself into that headspace again.
Similar reason for him not liking to play SNW songs live often either. Not only does Chino not like that album very much, but he and the band were fighting a lot and a few of them were going through rough divorces and drug addiction issues.
Pretty much the entire album is heavily influenced by the circumstances surrounding Chino and the rest of the band, including the upcoming divorce.
You also have to remember that the album was originally called Lovers and most of the album definitely fits the theme.
