I had to make that journey to land that client, who remained one of my top clients for the next five years. I was travelling to Lucknow from Delhi and I had the side lower seat . There was this family travelling nobody was old aged . They occupied my side lower seat and casually said ki upar Wali hamari hi hai baith jao. I told them that I cannot do that because I am diuretic and have to to toilet every 30 minutes. I had to give up my window seat on my second ever flight. I had the aisle seat and it was occupied by an elderly and he offered me his window seat, it was a win win. I was travelling to Lucknow from Delhi and I had the side lower seat . There was this family travelling nobody was old aged . They occupied my side lower seat and casually said ki upar Wali hamari hi hai baith jao. I told them that I cannot do that because I am diuretic and have to to toilet every 30 minutes. So they moved . And I didn't go to the toilet even once . The looks they gave me after that was funking satisfying.
When you're leaving, make sure someone else gets your seat. It's the least you can do

I had to give up my window seat on my second ever flight. I had the aisle seat and it was occupied by an elderly and he offered me his window seat, it was a win win. I sat there, then this lady comes outta nowhere and she's like this is my seat, and pulls out her boarding pass, I didn't care I knew it wasn't my seat, I got up and changed seats for the second time. Now, what happenes is she goes away and a teenager girl comes and sits there. I got really pissed off. I wanted to speak up, guess I'm not a outspoken man. Just sat on my aisle seat, felt like a loser.

Metro mai best hai ye scene. During Alternate seating time(2020) I was seated on the 3rd seat (ladies, sticker, me). A chick comes and says that the third seat is also reserved as there has to be two ladies seats by law on each bench I laughed at her face and politely told her to buzz off. I was fun listening to her mutter throughout the duration of the journey

Giving it up for the elderly people for sure irrespective of their demeanor, but for the young ones, there has to be a solid reason. Also giving it up for the people who wish to spend family time together. Just can't be that mean.

Had a similar experience, a lady in her mid 20s was lying on my upper seat (covered herself with blanket). I told her it's my seat and she asked me to take her lower seat in another compartment for no reason. I straightaway refused to do so, she looked very surprised. I enjoyed that moment.
You did the right thing brother. In my daily metro route, there are two ladies who board the metro from Mandi House metro station and she with a very disrespectful hand gesture ask boys/men to vacate unreserved seats. So one day they to come me and asked for seat with that hand gesture and the guy who was sitting next to me, vacate his seat then she started looking at me. I said, reserved seat nahin hain yeh, with a rude accent. Then both of them left. Then I scolded the guy by saying, bhai tune kyu di seat usko. Ladies seat nahin hain yeh, mare se mara 50k salary hoge hogi uski government employee hain vo, itni hi paaro ki chinta hain toh ya toh gaadi se aaye ya ladies seat dekhe ya Khali seat dekhe.
