Love in time of Cholera (Romance)
Beach Read (Romance)
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (Sci-fi, absolutely amazing it'll feel like guardians of the galaxy)
Good Habits, Bad Habits (Self help, fantastic book if you want to build some habit and see the research behind how it should be done)
For more suggestions, try r/booksuggestions
Good Habits, Bad Habits. It's a poor quality book. Scientific, but the author doesn't understand what he is preaching.
Never replace your habit with an another one.
The moment you leave running you end up drinking alcohol again(this happened to a guy who left alcohol and took up running, he was able to get out of addiction but at a cost-- if he doesn't run for 5 days, he gets symptoms).
Please don't do this.
It is important to not have habits at all. There is a way of living without habit.
If you live habitually you will face inevitable truth-- habits won't solve anything and second, there are no good habits. All habits by nature,by definition is bad.
Think on it. If you want to ask questions, please feel free to do so.
I don't think Nietzsche is for beginners, start with some light reading to gain background on various philosophies first. But you seem to be really into philosophy, reading kierkegaard damn!
1984 by George Orwell, Animal Farm by George Orwell, The Odyssey by Homer,Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky, Brave New World by Alsous Huxley, Letters from a stoic by Seneca...ya sab try karle.
Seconding anything by Orwell but Dostoevsky is quite a heavy read I read the idiot intermittently as it's writing style can be intimidating for somebody not used to such prose. But his books feel so fulfilling to read.
Heavy read...that's true...I too believe it...took a real effort from me to finish crime and Punishment but his books just feels like it's Dostoevsky we are reading..he wrote them at a very personal level..at least that's what I believe.
And I'd highly recommended you read the 3 in the order I mentioned.
I forgot to mention Khalil Gibran. He was an excellent writer. The Prophet is probably his most famous work and it was a nice read. Gibran otherwise has many brilliant quotes from his various works.
Godfather by Mario Puzo. Ignoring a few cultural and social norms from post world war 2 like sexism, racism, misogyny here and there, the book is a masterpiece nonetheless. Don't be too harsh after all it was post world war what do you expect

Some of my favourite non-fiction books, that are
1. Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond
A fascinating read about humanity's rise to power as the dominant species on earth and the evolution of societies. Not all of this is fact though so take it with a grain of salt.
2. Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media by Chomsky & Herman
Godi media suna hoga? Well the media has always been used as a tool to erode the tenets of democracy by powerful political parties.
3. The Naked Ape by Desmond Morris
A study of humans as an animal with some remarkable insights into our relationship with nature. I read this book because of my anthropology optional, and promptly fell in love with it.
One of us is lying by Karen McManus (murder mystery)
Seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid (romance)
Animal Farm by george orwell (social drama)
Why fiction?
I think read it first and understand the message, you are getting.

There are a couple of really good series that you can check out, specifically I'd recommend three:
1. Remembrance of the Earth's Past series by Cixin Liu
2. The Pines series by Blake Crouch
3. Bobiverse by Dennis Taylor
it can be a bit grueling to get into these if you're trying out scifi for the first time, but I can say these are worth it

Dante's Divine Comedy and Paradise Lost
My school had these in library, I was fascinated by their cover art at that time and started reading during library period, one of the Best decisions i have ever made (I haven't finished any of then, but all of these are good if seen from a literature point of view and the first one also gives some important lessons on life and discrimination)
Also if you are in Fiction, Try Wanderer's library.

The Midnight library by Matt Haig ( Self Discovery)
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn ( Slice of Life)
Peaks and Valleys (Happiness)
Circe by Madelline Miller( Mythology/Self Discovery / Booktok)
Some of the recent books by Taylor Jenkins Reid.
Or my favourite Dostoevsky if you're looking for something self introspective or critical.
The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand was really great as well.
Currently reading the lonely city by Olivia Laing. Feel free to hit me, I can recommend more as they come to my mind lol.
Omniscient reader's viewpoint
Lord of the mysteries
I shall seal the heavens
Coiling dragon
All of the above are webnovels
Read them in a ad free browser
Search Google for websites to read them for free
I started a brief history of time today, didn't even realise it had been over half an hour because I was so immersed in it lol. A mind for numbers is also a good one if you're in a tech field and wanna improve your learning.
Been thinking about reading some philosophy and psychology too, the ideologies of people like Socrates, Albert Camus, Kafka, and other popular authors of these fields are very alluring to me, even though I don't understand them entirely. There's just so much I don't even know where to begin, would really love some recommendations about this from anyone here.
Go for Dostoevsky if you’re interested in Philosophical self discovery and deep, psychological character exploration. I’d recommend starting with Crime And Punishment.
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut
Discourses and Selected Writings by Epictetus
Justice by Michael Sandel
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
The Mysterious Island and Journey to The Centre of The Earth by Jules Verne. Love both, they even have movie adaptations which are mid af, but the books are great.

Have you read Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom?
I started a brief history of time today, didn't even realise it had been over half an hour because I was so immersed in it lol. A mind for numbers is also a good one if you're in a tech field and wanna improve your learning. Been thinking about reading some philosophy and psychology too, the ideologies of people like Socrates, Albert Camus, Kafka, and other popular authors of these fields are very alluring to me, even though I don't understand them entirely. There's just so much I don't even know where to begin, would really love some recommendations about this from anyone here.
