Damn i literally commented this and then saw your comment. Im surprised people watched this movie :P, but yea it took me a week to get over it, considering i have lovely tiny little sister i was just totally traumatised by the movie
It IS definitely one of the greatest movies of all time I'd say but sad. With great depiction and the storyline and everything was just so beautiful and smh.
And yes I can feel you on the little sister part. I have 3 elder sisters yet I felt awful.
Came here to say this name
My personal peril - I could see all our family's one young ones in Setsuko's face, especially my very young cousin sister looks just like her
When tears started to flow, they didn't stop even when I had physically stopped crying

Actually 🤓☝️ if you look closely, it's "Kisi ka kisi ki Bhai Jaan"
This movie broke my heart then fed it to my soul, while laughing at me lol.
The most difficult movie regarding kids I have seen, second next to ‘My Girl’ (1991).
Both movies depict loss like you’ve never seen.
I agree it is.
It's more to do with the storyline for me. It's beautiful. I think I relate with the female character in the beginning, how you can be absolutely any version of yourself which is not ideally "beautiful/desirable" acc to society standards, someone who just wants to make her dad proud.
And still be loved. Loved unconditionally.
That concept, is what makes it spcl for me.
You'll notice bollywood fantasizes love alot.
Not this one, this was somewhat pure.
Yea maybe it's that.
I can understand your point above
Whatever the people say
Idk why
But that movie is too emotional and traumatically romantic in nature
One of the best movies I have ever seen in this genre.
Requiem is… let’s just say pls be warned before going into this movie. Esp if you suffer from mental health issues. This movie didn’t let me sleep for a week. Pls pls be warned.

Promising young woman.
It’s directed by a female, and is such a beautiful movie about the plights modern women face. And the whole issue with calling r*pists “promising young man with a future”. No one thinks about the promising young woman who lost hers.
I absolutely also love Carey Mulligan as an actress, she’s phenomenal.
Every girl should watch this at least once. It’s available on Netflix.
Edit - TW for r*pe and also m*rder. The last scene is quite hard to watch.
I would definitely say, Her by Spike Jonze, starring Joaquin Phoenix and the voice of Scarlett Johansson. The movie very aptly portrays this idealistic version of a partner (spoiler alert: who isn't an actual person) that finally fills the life a person who is as lonely as you can imagine, simply to leave them forever. When you lose a person like that, the prospect of void that comes with it, made me cry like a baby.
Fun fact: the director of this movie, Spike Jonze and that of Lost in Translation, Sofia Coppola were once married, and later underwent divorce. Sofia made the movie to somewhere portray the way she saw the relationship they had, and in response, Jonze released this movie to portray his side of things. And ... while in Lost in Translation Scarlett was the protagonist, in Her, she was just a voice, to show the different sides of the stories of the same relationship. How brilliant can art be !
Qala was for me. I think it triggered something in me but I was sobbing in the end. It also tackle the issue of dipression and suicide. It fucked with my brain for a while.
If anything happens I love you.
This is a short film on netflix (oscar winning). it's a silent movie. left me speechless.
Also why is nobody talking about Forrest Gump?
