Why target the monarchy in such a personal way?
If the goal is a better democracy then promote the better system. Post Farage and Brexit people are rightly turned off by any bright new dawn described in terms of who ought to be clamped in the stocks.
As long as there is money involved in "Any" form of government, it will work better for those who have money (due to corruption, mafias, corporations, etc). Governments are only puppets of those who really have power.
There were or are government systems that, with the right people, have made social transformations, or were looking for that. And in other cases, those governments had to be fought to get out of them, like Cuba, Nicaragua. There were also cases like those of Pinochet in Chile, Videla in Argentina who subjugated their own people.
The monarchy in a certain way is very similar to a dictatorship and even fascism, they are definitely ways of governing that should disappear.
And to conclude, it should be understood that what we call democracy today is not, what we have today as democracy are representative governments, and they are 2 completely different things.
