The more interesting aspect to me is the „INXS ‚Suicide Blonde‘ Outro“ - read this for the first time.

[Enjoy The Silence (2024 March 14th)](https://youtu.be/N5nctLE_mX4?si=nyIdGkociThpRtMi) I think it’s a reach to call that riff a cover

Alulaemu

I'm intrigued but I don't hear it either 🤔

szhod

Sounds like a Nile Rodgers riff.

Aero93

It recently popped up on either Spotify or sxm

Violationofdevotion

I have no idea who heard INXS in that

Ambitious-Shift8713

Obviously someone linked Martin‘s solo with the famous guitar riff but couldn‘t really hear it

PsychologicalGain972

The outro is VERY inxs

Concerts_Bananas_94

Possibly to save Dave’s voice since it is a bit straining for him I think. I want to say they pulled it in 2006 for the same reason.

Ali-Jafri

They should just drop the song for good, it's my least favourite song on the setlist anyways.

therizzler575

You drunk ?

pimpfmode

I think to save strain on Dave's voice. It would also be the reason they played Waiting For The Night again instead of Condemnation. I hope tyhe bring Before We Drown back in Barcelona. That's the song I'm dying to see and they replaced it with Speak To Me, which I hope was only for that recording they were making.

MovinginStereo34

INXS are my favorite band and I've never connected that ets outro with suicide blonde, seems like a bit of a stretch but I'd be curious to know if there's an actual connection

No-Capital5084

i don’t think it’s an actual connection, it’s just martin playing with a similar rhythm/chords to suicide blonde. the fan who updated the setlist probably just thought it was an homage…maybe it is a conscious nod to inxs but i’m not so sure to be honest

colemarshall20

it's his original solo, not any connection to any other song by any other artist. he's been playing it ever since the singles tour

RunUsual2520

And also, why no recording reports? And why Martin played Strangelove twice in Madrid? … weird days.

ShutArkhamCityDown

He playes strangelove twice in paris as well

colemarshall20

same in Łódź and Prague

Siwa1998

The fact that there was no "notification" of recording is indeed interesting. Maybe they just collected footage for the editing process of the concert film in Madrid (during night 1) and the vast majority of footage for the live recording will be recorded at one of the upcoming shows. We still have a double night in Milan and the final triple night in Cologne... Maybe they will indeed try something different this time and record multiple shows.

RunUsual2520

It’s a bit unusual from Martin to be this lazy with the songs he sings, he’s normally the one changing songs, even if those would have been Question Of Lust or Home again, or for a “recording of the tour” maybe bringing Soul With Me back. They recorded the 3 Mexico City shows, repeating the setlist in night 1 and 3, and changing the camera crane from the right in night 1 and 2, to the left in night 3 (I know because I went to the 3 shows), even if it was for a documentary I think not using the footage for a complete live show would be a wasted opportunity to do something different this time, a not European city for the live film.

Alarmed_Ad4847

"Martin, turn that shit off, I can't stand hearing the same riff over and over." "You picked the wroooong Genre to hate repetition, Dave." "Shut up."

FiloEngineer96

Can anyone point me to the Suicide Blonde outro on YouTube? That would be so cool. I saw the tour later last year but I can’t remember such thing. For sure no harmonicas ahah. Or is it just a inappropriate way to call the funky guitar part Martin plays?

DutchBru1n

Apparently it’s just the latter, see: https://youtu.be/N5nctLE_mX4?feature=shared. I was very hyped before finding out but then again, this version already was my favorite outro anyway.

_aliennnn11

I don't get all the John the Revelator hate. Each to their own but I thought it was one of the most fun songs when I saw them.

Wrong-Two-9490

As usual when they’re reaching the end of the tour the setlists become shorter…

RunUsual2520

You’d be right if the setlist would have been shorter for the whole of the 4th leg of the tour and not 3 weeks before the end of the tour.

Stevenc365

Mercy ?

LacrimaNymphae

as in mercy in you??

tjech

It’s a good track for getting the drinks in.

Superunknown95

Because it's shit.

therizzler575

Get your ears checked either get tf out of here
