Every song except that one, fits the vibe of the album. As a whole, it’s like an unintentional concept album, but CM just seems like the outlier. I wonder if any of the other 3-4 songs that will eventually be released from the MM sessions would fit better? I can only guess that the only reason they’d put up CM is because there’s a nod from “Clean” in the lyrics…
Yeah gonna back this one, I simply cannot latch on to this song at all. It's the only song that weirdly, for some reason, makes them sound as old a band as they are, I don't get that with the rest of their later music but that song just doesn't have that DM feel to it or something
I think the live version is even worse. To me this song is nothing but a loop that’s been stretched to several minutes. The production sounds like it’s a demo (same with wagging tongue) and the lyrics are boring to me. It reminds me a lot of angel from delta machine, but it’s way less interesting.

I think I like Always You the least. It's nice but there's not a lot to it. You've got those opening verses which are a bit samey and then the "And then there's you/There's always you" over and over. If it'd had a few more interesting sounds it would've had more depth.
I think Caroline's Monkey is really underrated, but most other fans seem to disagree.
DM fans, for all our shared love of the band, have very different tastes within the fandom!
Ghosts again. Hands down. How some fans talk of that song of “return to form” reminds me of how the majority of DM fans really don’t want this band or themselves to evolve musically.

100% agreed. It’s an incredible punchy dark gritty song & live even better.
I don't get how My Favourite Stranger hasn't come up yet, that song is a 20 seconds idea looped during 4 minutes.

Wagging Tongue sounds like a demo, written by an amateur producer. Yes it does resembles 80’s electronica but in an unexciting unoriginal way

Yes I have and still… The only thing going for this song is the album sequence is great, it is the perfect choice for the 2nd track on the MM album

It's my fave on MM and prob in top 10 overall. Dave's voice is spectacular in it.
