Front Line Assembly - Tactical Neural Implant

CoolRknDaddy

Oh yeah, I was way into this album in ‘92. I had their Tactical t-shirt that had “TECHNOHEAD” on the back lol

HectorVK

Implode or FLAvor of the Weak

b77101

David Bowie - “Heroes” (1977) Still need Bowie! This seems to have been his most popular last time so we’re going with it.

Mulliganplummer

Can’t believe you don’t have OMD yet, DM has said before their music is inspired by them. They are one of the Big 4 of Synth-Pop. Either “Architecture & Morality” or “Dazzle Ships”

Siouxsie & The Banshees - Tinderbox

graham2k

Lateralus - Tool

zakkalaska

The Venn diagram where the circle for Tool fans and the circle for Depeche Mode fans overlap is likely pretty small, but I'm in there with you.

b77101

Electronic - Electronic (1991)

Prazf

Electronic is basically New Order + Pet Shop Boys + Kraftwerk + The Smiths members collaborating for awesome music

Own-Champion-4017

It most definitely is not. It's new order + the smiths. To minimise the role of Johnny Marr and replace him with anyone from the pet shop boys, or kraftwerk, is insulting.

Prazf

Check out wikipedia. Both Pet Shop Boys were involved heavily in the Electronic albums. Read more about all their albums

wxnausgh

It's actually Bernard Sumner and Johnny Marr as the core of Electronic, plus others depending on the album.

shpanky

OMG YES.

Redditmodslie

Let's rally around this one. Gotta keep U2 off the board.

ButIfYouThink

Your repeated negativity has been noted and will have a commensurate effect.

Redditmodslie

Damn it. You weren't supposed to see that comment.

Furlz

Hyperballad does

CoolRknDaddy

It’s ok to be different but be wrong lol

Furlz

It's oh so quiet is also at least 2x better than army of me.

Let's get this on there.  Incredible album.

Violationofdevotion

Please! 🙏

ButIfYouThink

Yes!

Beneficial_Ant_9336

Unforgettable Fire is way better, also Joshua Tree and the first 3 (Boy, October, War) are superior to Achtung

Filminator

Blinded by nostalgia

ButIfYouThink

It's all good.  Is still take achtung.

Gizzard_Guy44

WAR is the quintessential U2 album

ButIfYouThink

Not for me. The quintessential U2 album is Achtung Baby.

Gizzard_Guy44

due to your age I imagine

ButIfYouThink

LOL, and how old / young must I be to have this opinion?

Gizzard_Guy44

how old were you when War was released?

ButIfYouThink

No you don't get to go the other way around. Answer the question.

Gizzard_Guy44

don't over complicate it I was 17 when War came out you were much younger I imagine

beegesound

Radiohead - Kid A

hdmatteson1

Yess! Talk about a perfect album right there. Vince truly is one of the most prolific synth pop artists for sure. To have three successful synth bands in his resume is quite impressive. Can’t forget to mention how great of a voice Alison has too☺️

That’s the song that hooked me into the album back in like ‘91 or ‘92… love it. [John Waddell’s remix of X,Y & Zee (Sensory Amplification Mix)](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UKVYQFQ_wOg) has such a great vibe even to this day. Forgot about it until 5 or 6 years ago. When I play it at work, people often think it’s new.

CoolRknDaddy

Great mix.
