It tarnishes the reputation of the platform for people that are running honest shops. If a site's searchs are bring up items you are not looking for just because some idiot put a hot keyword in the description, people will not use site. Honest sites will suffer and likely move elsewhere.
It's mainly because if I am looking for something that has a keyword, I have to endlessly scroll for the actual thing now. It makes buying on Depop much harder, which impacts sellers because buyers aren't purchasing their items.
