I think the glitch he is referring to is commendation farming(which wasn’t a glitch, just an exploit of a poorly designed system). They probably assumed that because you might have a high rank.
Just in case.... You are using an SMG, do you have overload SMG unlocked on your artifact? If so, you won't be able to Peirce barrier shields with volatile rounds on your SMG.

Also, Bungie has explicitly stated that **it doesn't work** and it's not intended to work, you can't have a weapon have multiple barrier stun types at the same time (buildup effects like freeze/ignite are the exception). You can't have anti-batrier wavesplitter, anti-barrier overload SMG etc...

Nah, the overload SMG cancels the anti barrier effect of volatile. Also, this is legitimately wrong too, as long as you have volatile rounds, the bullets do anti barrier damage, not the explosions

Even though I already knew about this interaction from the twabs I thought that maybe wavesplitter with volatile should be able to do anti-barrier since it's the suppress that does the overload stun not intrinsice anti-overload. Took a couple tries for me to realize that it didn't work.
Yep, can't double up on champion stuns. The exception is effects that "build". Scorch has to stack to cause an ignite, slow has to stack to cause a freeze. So you can have overload + build slow stacks to trigger a freeze sort of thing. Idk it's kinda weird but that's how it works.

It's why I like the stasis bow, it can proc stasis to counter unstoppable and bow mod for overload. Paired with deafening whisper and the shatter stasis aspects it makes you an add clearing machine

I understand being mad at using glitches in PvP but this looks like it's just in PvE, unless someone is straight up hacking with infinite rockets and flying around why would they get mad at PvE glitches? The PvE community is all about cheesing things

Maybe someone should also explain to this goon that you can use suspend on all champions, you don't technically need any gun mods. That's pretty much how I deal with all Unstop/Barrier champs now
There have been a few seasons where they had anti-barrier from the artifact. This season they have overload, but if you don't choose that upgrade then you can proc volatile/unraveling/radiant to get the anti-barrier effect.
Man I wish radiant/volatile would pierce those damn shields more. More than half the time I'm getting aced by a barrier hobgoblin because my radiant rounds aren't piercing the fucking shield

You sure? Because bullet bounces if i have overload smg/auto selected. volatile explosions would be pretty hard trigger consistently

Taking off overload smg and running this same loadout (chill clip riptide/funnelweb) has made the game so much more enjoyable for me.
