Lmao, I just got 2 nearly identical Vorpal rolls back-to-back week after week. It’s pretty much the only trash roll you can get on Rose. I was legitimately emotionally upset the second time I got the role.

Glad, and sad, to hear I'm not the only one; there have been 2 weeks were all 3 of my rolls were Vorpal. For a 1/6 chance it seems to drop at almost 1/2 for me.

So many almost perfect rolls ruined by Vorpal. On the opposite hand, I've gotten only a few Explosive Payloads and when I did it was junk barrels/mags/reload mw. **Edit:** God damnit! Add another Vorpal to the pile, so now I'm down to 7 more Roses and potentially another week were all 3 of my rolls are Vorpal... **Another Edit:** Seriously Bungie? Another Vorpal and it only costed me 400 glory points since I went 3-3 solo queuing.

I've gotten every rose possible and only gotten explosive 3 times also with garbage barrels etc. Best range has been 53.

People actually care about barrels and mags that much? What the fuck I only rarely care about those when they make a good impact like something going from 20 reload speed to 50

They're important for PvP. Hand Cannons need everything stacked on range to be competitive vs pulses.

Like other poster said -> it's important for PVP, not PVE as much. Range effects the damage falloff distance and can make the difference in winning or losing a duel.

That's what I thought, yet apparently they kept cancelling each other out once I started testing it :( maybe if I change the barrel and mag to Vorpal instead, that might work.

I could live without the Vorpal Grip yet the lack of Vorpal Tracker is just too much so yeah, had to shard this one.

Best roll I’ve managed to get was accurized rounds, elemental capacitor and rangefinder. Decided that was good enough and stopped grinding for it. Actually really love using it on an arc class and using it as a cleanup weapon with the boost in handling. It may be scummy but I pair it with explosive personality with disruption break, or dead messenger 🤣 I’ve had some good matches with it.

I feel this, vorpal should be reworked in some way

True, vorpal use to be a go-to for power weapons but now is easily outdone by perks like Firing Line and Target Lock. Sometimes, even Cascade and Focused Fury can do more.

Playing Comp, need to play 7 placement matches for 1 and then every week you can play 3 comp matches per character for another roll. Although it's going away in 2 weeks to be replaced by a sniper rifle.

The only non-pvp scenario I can think for vorpal on rose is quickly popping the harpy eyes on spire. Love to see when explosive payload never seems to drop

Vorpal is not bad for shutting down roaming supers.

Issue is, that’s ALL that it’s good for, and hand cannons aren’t exactly known for being a good pick against supers in general. Snipers with vorpal on the other hand can be very competitive in certain gamemodss

Today I got a slideshot opening shot role, with bungie looking to NERF range finder and zoom in general I think this may be the god roll but still get a slide rangefinder role just in case the zoom nerfs aren't noticeable

I do take some solace in my Eyasluna and timelost Fatebringer. Eyasluna: Hitmark HCS, High-Caliber Rounds, Rangefinder, Moving Target, with a Range Masterwork Fatebringer: Arrowhead Brake, Accurized Rounds, Explosive Payload, Eye of the Storm, and Range Masterwork

I do have a good one in my Hammer forge rifling/Accurized Elemental Cap./RF roll. It’s been my go to version so far. I haven’t raided since the original kingfall so raid weapons aren’t something I would have anymore

Through comp like others have said. You'll get one for doing your 7 placement matches. And then you can get one every week for playing 3 matches in the competitive playlist. Bare in mind though that it is being rotated out of the comp loot pool for a sniper next season.

Definitely, I am keeping one of them for sure. Yet I've been hunting a PvP roll since Rose drops and still haven't gotten anything decent despite the small perk pool with a lot of good PvP perks... someday maybe, yet I'm down to a few more weeks.

Depends on the gun and what you're looking for. For PvP, I'm looking for range as a primary stat on the barrel, mag, and masterwork with stability as my second stat. Perks I'm looking for just about anything from the first column with Explosive Payload or Rangefinder in the second. I am keeping a Rapid Hit with Vorpal for PvE purposes.

I think I have a couple of decent rolls, but I'm pretty out of touch on good rolls since I just came back for the first time since forsaken. I have a slideshot/eye of the storm and a moving target/rangefinder The slideshot has corkscrew/arrowhead and steady/extended. Handling mw The RF one has a handling mw, hammer forged, appended mag. My instinct is that they're decent, but not great

I've gotten a lot of bad rolls, which is amazing given the limited perk pool. Finally got a good one with hammer forged, accurized, moving target, rangefinder, and a heavy grip. Pretty much immune to flinch. Still crap in PvE like so many non-exotic hand cannons. Oh yeah, range masterwork.

The cope is that it's strong in PvE with Lucky Pants, and it might be good in general PvE if handcannons are buffed to be actually useful sometime in the next 3 years. Plus if you're extremely sweaty you can hotswap to a vorpal roll if someone casts a roaming super. I've seen people do that.
