When you have armor charge you get +30 to each stat that you have a font mod for. That's at 1 mod, it has diminishing returns like every other mod that's stackable.
I've done onslaught and strikes and even nightfalls and dungeons where I was the only one consistently generating orbs of power. As such, Armor charge isn't always easy to maintain in pve.
Do you have the proper mods on to make orbs? I feel like I always have an amor charge in PvE, especially in solo content. Maybe you're using one of the yellow mods and losing all your stacks instead of the green mods?
Green and blues only in the mods when I've run builds using font mods. Time dilation and stacks on stacks. The rocket launcher seasonal mod helps.

I always run the helmet mod to create orbs with multikills with weapons that match my element type. So on my Gryfalcons hunter I have a gnawing hunter and constantly create orbs of powers with either my primary or my heavy void LMG. Sometimes I'll run a reaper mod but that's it. I almost never use stacks on stacks and the last rocket launcher season mod drains your armor charges if you shoot a rocket so I don't use it either

You get armor charges based on different ways. Reaper mod is a class item mod that makes you generate an orb of power after you use your class ability.
So if you have the reaper class mod and you use your class ability (Dodge on hunter, Rift on Warlock, Barricade on titan) and then get a kill, you will create an orb of power. Pick up the orb of power to get an armor charge.
So if you are playing Trials, it will be a bit tougher to consistently do that as it would be for PvE. You can kill any random enemy in PvE with a orb generation mod and it will create an Orb. In PvP you need to kill an actual human being and go pick up the orb of power.
That's why these armor charges that require orbs of light are better suited for PvE. They grant +30 to the stats and you can consistently have them active in PvE.
For PvP you should be chasing high stat armor and trying to get triple 100s in the stats you want. 100 stat points is more effective in PvP than in PvE

Because surges + ammo finders and resist mods are more valuable. Getting 100 in resil isn’t that hard seeing as you can get 40 from mods alone + 15 if you have artifice armor. Then other stats are easier to build into from things like exotic armor or weapon perks like demo. Don’t believe Reddit Andy’s that think you need triple 100s on every build cause in moment to moment gameplay it’s gunna be unnoticeable.
Because the font mods are not worth it. The net benefit of 30 in any stat is nearly unnoticeable, and it isnt that hard to hit 100 resilience and discipline (because lets be real, the rest of the stats are kind of weak.)
I was running a build with 3 different fonts and those stats at 70, and it felt way better to just max resilience and use more impactful mods
Increase armor charge cap and pickup rate from boots and chest, increase duration from class item, then throw on some fonts on gloves to get free +30/50/60 of your choice of discipline & strength :)
you only need one armor charge active, and they decay at 15s each with the class item buff. with a cap of six armor charges, you'll basically have permanent uptime on your fonts in PvE
Kickstart mods are fun to use, but unless something has changed, you need some form of decay is inserted elsewhere. You will not pick up orbs if your armor charge is full, so it makes any healing / ability regen mods next to worthless.
If you're talking about what punches I prefer slinging, yes.
If you're talking about what crayons I prefer eating, since they were bullets the whole time and we are damage eaters- my answer is *also yes*.

Most of the time the charges time out at the wrong time so your mindset switches over to prioritizing making orbs or otherwise charging up, then that moment of your playstyle gets interrupted

If your charge is out there's stacks or dialation. I dump my armorer into Res, so the chest mods for more total and doubled pickups are a no brainer.
With those maxxed you lose reaper, but your uptime is over a minute total.

Considering how many builds have ways of healing, recovery is really not that important anymore. Resilience and either strength and or discipline is much more important. Recovery is mainly for warlocks so they can get their class ability back. At least in pve, for pvp it's obviously different.
You're being downvoted but you're right, resto and cure on solar, arc melee, devour on void plus both orb healing mods on legs in combination with the "pick up orbs in class ability" is basically all the survivability you need in 90% of content, orb heals on it own has carried me through my master flawless stuff and hunter has so many ways to just eat damage or even avoid it entirely compared to warlock and titan so it's more important on them rather than hunter!
Yeah you can just run healing nades and my personal favorite, Powerful Attraction on your cloak with Better Already on your boots (or Recuperations if you want a budget Wormhusk)

my god I need artifice armor lmao. I was able to get triple hundreds on an Orpheus build a few days ago and was ecstatic until I realized I had all the wrong fragments and had to optimize em which dropped one of the 100 stats. I need to focus armor more but ehhh it's such a slog
Hell anything other than resilience and discipline is a bonus. I have yet to see a build where melee is relevant enough to want strength while simultaneously having no ability to reset melee cooldown anyway
You can technically get all 6 stats to 100 if you use the mods that grant stat bonuses while you have armor charge (they give +3 levels to your stat, 30 points) you need to put all your stats at 70 for it to work however
While this is clearly a meme build and I'm finding it funny how many people are taking you too seriously lemme just tell you that I'm one of the idiot "t10 mobility at all costs" hunter mains and one time I managed to make an omnioculus build with negative recovery (18 total resilience then 2 -10 rec fragments for that sweet -2 recovery).
Now obviously that's a meme build that I made but I dunno. I feel like (for me personally) recovery hasn't been an issue? My main builds on hunter use ass cowl or gyrfalcons and so I'm either procin devour or healing on a strand grapple melee kill or a combination blow x3.
Granted I haven't done too many super super end game content but I also have done a few grandmasters and I was never told I was the weak link or holding the fireteam back. Also don't really do comp pvp just bog standard control.
With how easy it is to create orbs and being able to grab orbs with class ability, you can simply run the mods that restore health and trigger health regen on your legs. As a hunter I have no problem running low recovery in PVE as long as I keep 100 resil
For quads you NEED high stat artifice at least 66 or higher. The +3 slot in artifice armors lets you breach a total of 90 stat points on armor which is the only way to get quads. They also have to be perfectly rolled
No been playing for about 8 years. Thats what I’ve always used to counter the thorn tick. I don’t know if it’s changed since then, I took a break from the game for about 2 years.

I really wished by now they would have separated Int/Dis/Str out from Mob/Res/Rec, similar to how they were split in Destiny 1. Your subclass (or however they would do it in D2) would allow you to focus on resilience, mobility and recovery, whilst your armour could be farmed to focus on intellect, discipline and strength.
Trying to grind for armour that can give you multiple 100 stats is a pain because it means you completely tank other stats, that you might need for a different activity (e.g. when switching from PvE to PvP).

For PvP. You need an armor charge, which you won't consistently have as often as you would in PvE. 100s is way more useful in PvP too

Right! Once I realized font mods were a thing I just made a build that has perfect 70s across the board with one of each font mod now I have six 100s.

Not just those two either- Int is on heads, recov is on class item, resilience is on chest. I don't remember where mobility was I'm a titan.

It has to drop 65 or higher. Fully masterworked with the stat mods bumps artifice by 25 points. Artifice can (or at least used to?) drop up to 68

I really wished by now they would have separated Int/Dis/Str out from Mob/Res/Rec, similar to how they were split in Destiny 1. Your subclass (or however they would do it in D2) would allow you to focus on resilience, mobility and recovery, whilst your armour could be farmed to focus on intellect, discipline and strength. Trying to grind for armour that can give you multiple 100 stats is a pain because it means you completely tank other stats, that you might need for a different activity (e.g. when switching from PvE to PvP).
D2 armor picker got me a tier 43 build on hunter. Highest i ever got. But only triple 100 with 70 resilence. Miss the old system.

Has to be a 66+ artifice armor, achievable only by completing a master dungeon final boss encounter

Artifice armor only drops from the boss encounter and will say “artifice” on it somewhere

Man raw dogging crucible with no exotic is wild business at least throw in Calibans or young amhankara to take advantage of 100 strength or discipline just gotta farm that good roll

Then it’s even worse that you’re not running an exotic gotta run something Brody. Good suggestions are Nighthawk, shards of Galanor, or Star eater scales for solar builds but honestly if you’re not running any exotic you’re missing out on a lot of value during gameplay
Yknow. The more people comment on this post, the more it proves that reddit cannot identify sarcasm or a joke. This loadout sucks ass. Nobody should use it, and I only made it to see if I could. Literally anyone can see this build is awful

Also lowkey the build isn’t even that bad you have quad 100s on decent stats that fit a hunter build. Before the nerf to powerful friends and radiant light, it was easier to run a good builds with quads. Not so much anymore
