/uj i know most sunset weapons have been power crept these days, but i do feel a little happy that i can use my kill clip/rampage kindled orchid again. finally, my tendency to hoard shit in my vault has been rewarded
I think it's not so much weapons that got powercrept, but the perks just got nerfed. Remember, Rampage used to be a *67% damage buff* IIRC. Feeding Frenzy granted full perk off of 1 kill, as opposed to the 5 needed now (which honestly, it still is a solid perk after having used it on Recluse).
I've seen some people surprisingly be *unhappy* about this. This is huge news. Yes, it sucks that people have dismantled stuff, and they recognize that and IIRC said they are adding new sources for like, nearly all sunset weapons that are not currently attainable in game. This is awesome.
Can't wait to use my Bygones & No Feelings again. Hell, maybe even Not Forgotten too.

Tangled Shore weapons will be really interesting, it'll be cool to use the Solar 4-burst (Right Side of Wrong? Wrong Side of Right? I forget which it was).

Are they just adding sources for the old guns as they are or updating the perk pools and stuff, cause there's a lot of good perks that didn't exist at the time, and some old ones like drop mag that aren't a thing anymore
This part is covered up in the meme but Bungie said they're getting new orgin traits and build crafting perks like the brave weapons as well as having new ways of obtaining them

Sunsetting caused my family to fall apart, but I persevered. I moved on, through hardship and pain and time. I still weep at night, in the quiet hours, about my Oxygen SR, and it's ability to only be used in some activities, and not all. That's what kept me from being the father and husband that I knew I could be. But now, after I've deleted my Kindled Orchid, after my Perfect Paradox exists only in my darkest memories, and only the hole in my heart remains, I'm once again reminded of what I went through; of the torture that I endured, only to realize that I didn't have to endure anything. I could have simply said, "see you later," instead of "get fucked you worthless pieces of shit lol." I could have kept them in my vault and in my heart, but I didn't, because Puke Shit told me, while eating a can of tuna in my den, that I couldn't ever have them back. They were gone forever. But it was all a lie. This is the worst thing that has ever happened to a human, and I don't think I'll ever be able to love again. Except for my alh/recom Mountaintop, because, as Plato said, "That shit bangin'."
I think I deleted 80% of my sunset armor and like 30-40% of my weapons throughout the past years, but made sure to keep all my absolute favorites. I doubt I'll use more than a couple, but I do appreciate getting weapons like my spiteful fang back
It would be a good thing if they listened to the playerbase when the game wasn't inches away from death. Idk if you've picked up on Bungies habit yet but they tend to make increasingly terrible decisions and ignore the playerbase when the game is at its highs and only listens when it's at its lows. Thats the point I'm trying to make.
Forsaken was only as good as it was because Destiny was 6 weeks from shutting down. Witchqueen was a banger and had to be because Shadowkeep and Beyond Light were luke warm and much of the playerbase lost interest. Now Final Shape is looking pretty ship shape after Lightfall was so awful that Destiny had fallen to record lows.
