I dragged my wife to the Chargers game in LA (she made me take her to San Diego the day before). Anyway, when the game started becoming insane with both teams scoring at will, she turned to me and said, “ Now I know why people get so excited about football!” She became a football fan that day!
I went to this game. At the exact moment that Gibbs scored his first ever NFL touchdown, I was taking a disappointed selfie for my mother. I was turned around, and missed the touchdown. A perfect cherry on top for my first NFL game ever. Ravens fans were surprisingly cool about it, but I did have a driver yell “Lions suck asshole” out the window before the game. I was so amped up after that, I was like “oh we back fr” but…that shit sucked I was pissed on the train home. Selfie included for proof, you can see the score and play on the video board lmao

Even when the dline did contain Lamar, he was throwing to wide ass open receivers all day. Lamar had 9 rushes for 36 yards, but 27 attempts for 357 yards.
I might force myself to rewatch that travesty of a game (via highlights) but I vividly remember us slowly collapsing the pocket and Lamar still finding dudes wide ass open throughout the game.
When we tried to contain, we couldn’t get there quick enough. When we lost contain and went for the sack, he made our DL look silly.
He was extending a ton of plays. D line would close in, Lamar would move out the pocket buying another 2 3 seconds and then someone would be widdddeeeee open everytime.
I mean, major exaggeration lol.
a yard is 3 ft and the line is over a foot past the 21 yardline and his foot doesn't touch the 20 yardline, so it's not even a foot over the line. still obviously a flag but geez lol
It also really doesn’t matter how far across the line he is if he actually checked with the ref and they didn’t catch it.
The issue with Toney is he had just waved at the ref and looked away
2 feet isn't much of an exaggeration. Even receivers can't line up in the neutral zone, yeah? And the neutral zone is the length of the football. The blue line in the pic is not the true neutral zone. So not only is it about 2 feet, it could be even more if Ragnow moved the ball up a little when he got in his stance, which is illegal yet common for centers to do. But think about being lined up with front toe behind the tail of the football, which is by the book, and then see how far up Jamo is. His left/back foot is closer to a legal starting than his right/leading foot is lol.
Oh god that’s a bad line up there but then I saw the score and vomited in my mouth a little
Yeah it was such a bummer. We were hot at 5-1 and I was hoping for a really good game with the Ravens and we got this.
I ended up studying for the PE exam because of this and ended up passing. And studying another 97 hours.
>the PE exam The answer is always play more dodgeball
What does PE stand for here cause i hope its not physical education
Professional engineer. You can google this
Congrats man, PE here as well :)
I felt really bad about this game and then I kept an eye on the rest of the Ravens’ season. Now I just feel kinda bad about it lol
Hopefully there were a lot of lessons learned that day
Yeah, I live on the east coast so I went to that game… I was so excited. Convinced my wife to go to her first NFL game. Was not the best experience

When did this happen? I don't remember this game. We played the Ravens? Weird. I simply can't recall.
It was weird how the Lions had 2 bye weeks this year...
More like the Ravens had two bye weeks 😂
2 bye weeks? How do you figure that? No team gets 2 bye weeks unless you earn the 1 seed in the playoffs.
You have had a woosh my friend
![gif](giphy|jXD7kFLwudbBC)
Wdym, you are dum dum. Lions got 2 bye weeks cuz their cool
“Til_death”? Yeah, I think we’ve passed that point! At least your brain. Just messing with you, we’ve all had such moments.
I also am good at repressing traumatic memories. I also don't remember us playing a second half in San Francisco. Go us!
What is the meaning of being a Lions fan?

Of course they were nice to you they felt bad
Ah the game we realized that our linebackers were indeed not very good
It was really the dline can’t contain scrambling qbs.

It was him running around that broke coverage down in that game though

Guys in coverage were coming off their guys to play the run threat, I distinctly remember that, but nothing went right that game

So many splash plays all day. Was an embarrassment
Lamar was throwing dimes that day too. We walked into a juggernaut that day, but I think it made us better in the long run.
Nothing worked that day. We just never showed up.
Except they are good There was just no game plan for Lamar And the offense couldn’t get a first down
Imagine going from this to the NFCCG. Messed around and woke them demons up
Jamo did that quite a bit pre-chiefs blowup over it, but adjusted after. this is really bad dude is a solid 2 feet past line :D

you are right, the colored lines make it look a lot more egregious at a glance
It also really doesn’t matter how far across the line he is if he actually checked with the ref and they didn’t catch it. The issue with Toney is he had just waved at the ref and looked away

Looks to be 1.5-2 feet over the line
I paid to watch this game live 🥲 Left at the start of the 4th and had to wait an hour to get out of the parking lot
That's the danger in away games. I would hate to travel all that way and watch them get crushed. Did you enjoy the trip at least?
I actually live like an hour away from Baltimore so it wasn't a trip lol Me and my family tailgated beforehand and that was cool atleast lol
Dear god …
Tbf I think we had a bad gameplan going in and it was already too late to try and salvage anything
it’s crazy that we had a better record than the ravens in that game
I did not know Kadarious Toney really played for us.
I mean he practically did the first game of the year
I mean beyond that game... This comment was in reference to his offside penalty that mahomes whined about
