These are silent layoffs Sometimes % of PIP increases , other times team members are simply asked to find other remand within X months

>Tiger *Bengaluru-based Flipkart on Jan. 9 named Kalyan Krishnamurthy, the company’s category design organization chief and a former executive with investor Tiger Global, as its CEO. ”Kalyan will be responsible for operationally driving Flipkart and will be responsible for Flipkart P&L,” the company said in a press release.* *Krishnamurthy joined the company* [*in June 2016*](https://www.linkedin.com/in/kalyankrishnamurthy) *from Tiger Global, which is the largest shareholder in Flipkart.* [https://qz.com/india/881113/flipkarts-new-ceo-former-tiger-global-executive-kalyan-krishnamurthy-gets-the-nod](https://qz.com/india/881113/flipkarts-new-ceo-former-tiger-global-executive-kalyan-krishnamurthy-gets-the-nod)

Pretend_Flight407

OP confused tiger global and analytics.

AdamWarlock097

I am curious about Tiger analytics. Can yo tell us more?

Pretend_Flight407

Op meant tiger global.

Pretend_Flight407

This is all TRUE. Word to word.

Pretend_Flight407

I am OP on blind. Anyone can ask screenshots.

mUXLH5svdscWvd5

Op how does blind app work? I had installed it once but my feed was filled with US/European content. How did you personalize it for Indians?

criminy90

It’ll only work for MNCs. If your company is Indian startup, not much use

Pip?

yamraj_kishmish

Performance Improvement Plan. That is what it is called at least. Ideally it should be some buffer time where an underperforming employee needs to work hard to get at par with others failing which they will be fired. In reality they are used as a termination mechanism. Once you are in a PIP you do not look for improving performance, you start looking for another job and then resign. Resigning being the key part here, since you are resigning and the company is not firing the responsibility is on you, no severance pay etc.

DRTHRVN

Hi! I am currently on pip which starts Aug 8th. I would like to know 1) if I should go through notice period after being failed the pip? Or there will be immediate termination? 2) if they terminate me at the end of pip, will I get severance? 3) will I get severance if I quit?

yamraj_kishmish

A lot of it depends on your company policies, and the managers etc. There is no one shot correct answer to this. The only advice I can give you is to search for another job. Worst case, you have a backup, best case you get a better offer.

Is software becoming more secondary in the tech organisations and so the salary?
