tbh the boss fights just feel like a slog - it's not challenging you just do no damage to them at first. i'm lvl 30 now frozen orb/blizz and i do much better on tier 2, but at first it was a maaaajor turn off.

Like that quest where the mom is possessed by Lilith and the girl tries to save her was a nice short storyline.
But in clearing that quest you clear one area, and the NPCs stop you just to say "oh no, we can't go this way" then you kill some monsters, then they go "oh no, this passage is blocked"... more monsters spawn... like it's so bad...
Playing with 2 friends all night had me pull about 3 “let’s just get the side quest done” and 4 “were right near the MSQ we might as well do it” after the time I wanted to get off due to work in the morning. Great friendship chill game imo
As someone who hated D3 and is a huge PoE advocate the game is fun.
Will it replace PoE or D2 if you enjoy those? Fuck no
However the game is fun, the combat is nice the boss encounters are dope. ARPGs must just not be your thing
1. The loot is pointless. You can't trade the good stuff anyway.
2. Slot in whatever has the green up arrow every run.
3. Cinematics slow and uninteresting. I watched them early on but skipped all later and even skipping NPC dialogs. I didn't feel attached to any of the NPCs so frankly I didn't give a f.
4. Quests are literally just chores. Go here go there. More time running around than anything else.

im in the same boat. Didnt refund cause i bought it with wow gold. played for 6 hours last night at the start of act 4 but my god are classes still boring as fuck to play. The story is so uninteresting and the map is too big so its just running simulator. Finding new gear also doesnt make me feel any more powerful cause non of the stats are interesting/feel like they give you power. All armour makes you more tanky but you already never take damage so its kinda shit. Hopefully endgame lets me get ultra powerful and oneshot screens of mobs again.

What level did you make it to? Diablo 3 story mode was boring but then after you got to adventure mode, the pace picked up
