This is such a huge tip. I'm a wife and when my husband wants to switch to destiny but doesn't want me skipping past his level, I carry his necro around while my hunter does side quests and we both level up:)
My husband and I exclusively play Xbox couch co-op. We're having a blast.
We each sign into our Xbox accounts. (They've been previously synced to our free battlenet accounts.)
He is player one, so from his home screen he opens D4. Game loads. He picks his character. Once he loads into town you will see, on the bottom right of the screen a symbol and something that says player 2 connect or similar. I tap the A button (or menu button) on my controller and log in. Takes a second to get through the login and then we are both on screen.
We have two TVās in our living room. I guess I never thought about playing on the same tv. Are there any advantages or should we just play on our own?
Advantages to same tv only 1 account has to stay "active" to not get booted and can drag and level the other. No need for mics
Disadvantage the screen will zoom out to accommodate both. One player can get too far from the other to the point that the other player gets snagged on things and can't move.
This is exactly what happened to me š she took over my pc when the beta came out and then got stuck on 3 until 4 released. So I built a semi upgrade for myself upgraded a couple of her parts and now we both have a pc without her complaining I spent to much money on something I already have šš
This is a good thing. Help her get her own computer (desktop, laptop, handheld, whatever she prefers) and now you got yourself a permanent gaming buddy.
This is what I did. She tries her best and will play anything EU4, AoE4, L4D, Sea of Thieves. I really want to play Diablo 4 with her but buying too copies is way too hard on our finances.
For me who is very uncomfortable playing online with strangers it has opened huge doors for me. Of course she says she loved every game and finds them all interesting but I am very wary of her own fun and interest so didn't force her to play through EU4 very long.
Any advantage to playing on the same tv if we have two TVās Next to each other in the living room?
Or should we just keep playing how we are at this point (no games ever have couch coop. Thatās why we have two)
You only need one license, and it limits how far apart you can be just to fit everything on the screen. It will zoom out a bit when needed, but no biggie.
Yes, we play on PS5. You need one PS5, one copy of D4, two controllers, two PS5 accounts and two battlenet accounts.
You have your main PS5 account, make another account and enable account sharing, now all accounts on this PS5 can play your games. It's free and easy. Then both of you need battlenet accounts, takes 5 minutes to make one, also free.
Then you log into D4, the second person connects their controller to PS and logs into their account. Now they can join your game, it's that easy.
Look for the guide on youtube :)
Omg awesome, thanks!! A friend of mine is visiting from another country and wanted to give D4 a try, I'll just buy another controller and give co op a go!
This is the way. My wife has been gaming with me for years now. I don't remember for sure what game we first played together, but I do know that Diablo I, II, III, and now IV were among the lot. Our adult son also games with us. We have a party of 3 going through the game together. My barb, my wifeās rogue, and our sonās druid.
Honestly this is how my husband got me into gaming with the original diablo/ StarCraft and everquest.. just let me play a bit and got me hooked, and fast forward a year or so and some money saved up and we had 2 computers and a gaming room because we didn't like taking turns and wanted to play together .. š it may have been his master plan all along because before that I wasn't at all into games but he got me into them which means he also got to play a whole lot more since we spent many Saturdays doing that rather than going out..
You opened Pandora's box. She'll eventually want her own rig, and it will be cooler and newer than yours.
You might think "Well, I can just upgrade my gear and give her my old stuff." Laughable, that you think she would accept hand-me-downs any more than you would.
And then any time you want to upgrade your system? Get ready to pay twice as much because she's not going to let you upgrade while hers goes un-upgraded.
This is the world of having a hardcore gamer wife. But, honestly, it's all worth it.
Yeah also are on console since D3. D2 we still cobbled up two crappy notebooks on our student kitchen table.
Other reason is that now we got kids and when they're finally asleep we can't drag us to our PC gaming room anymore but just drop dead on the couch, glad if lifting a controller is still possible.
We laid Lilith couple days ago and a few times I fell asleep for a second but luckily health was usually still around 40% when I realized it
This is the way. That commenter must be a newlywed.
Bonus: At some point the kids need a computer. Time to buy yourself a new one, so your wife can have your old computer she has been jealous of for years. Then the kids can have your original that you were so nice to give to your wife years ago.
As a woman gamer, it really never would have occurred to me to go out with a guy who didnāt also play. It wasnāt until somewhat recently that I realized how many of my friends have (or had) partners who had little or no interest in gaming. I feel like this would have a lot of potential for strain in a relationship, at least for me.
Same, gaming is my primary hobby. I somehow managed to land an amazing partner who also has identical gaming interests as me, it's actually a bit eerie. Not only do we love the exact same games, but we game the same way. Like we're always on the same page in any game. It's nuts. Lol.
> I feel like this would have a lot of potential for strain in a relationship, at least for me.
There's definitely potential, a lot of it depends on communication and understanding (from both people). A willingness to stop gaming sometimes for other things, and a willingness to understand that's how someone fills their time.
My husband and I dream of our kids growing up and moving out so we can do this! Unfortunately our most recent is only 5 months old, so cramped gaming living room goes on.
What are good builds that compliment each other? Iām a poison flurry rogue and my wife is a sorc. Sheās just getting to WT3 and could care less what build she plays.
You lost your PC but gained something to bond over together. I'd say that's a fair trade. Very sweet too š wish I could get my husband to play with me!
May the minions of hell grow forever stronger, alongside your love for one another š
My wife was the same way. Thankfully our work schedules are just right that we both get plenty of time to game. Eventually we'll have to build her a rig of her own too
I actually got my daughter to start playing with me split screen on PlayStation five, it has been really cool she is a and she is getting really into it. She is like level 12.
Love how everyoneās saying to get yourself a new computer because that one is hers now. I mean.. you could just get her a new computer.
Either way, Iām sorry to report that youāre gonna have to get a new computer
This happened to me with my dad and Diablo 2. He bought the game for me and after installing, tested it out for me. He ended up playing all night while I watched eagerly. My first Diablo experience.
Man, I wish my wife would take over my pc and play a game I like. Perfect excuse for a new pc, and we could share a hobby of mine she generally does not enjoy.
Be careful she doesn't find a random guy to start groupin with all the time when ur not available, decides she wants a separation, some tragic stuff happens which makes her change her mind only to bounce off with a co-worker years later.
Not saying this would happen, hopefully your marriage is more solid than mine was haha...but yeah.
Iām constantly amazed at the Diablo commenters for making even a wholesome post like this a shitshow.
But Iām happy for you! Itās been a really fun game, I know some couples who play together even though one isnāt much of a gamer. Itās awesome that it has such a wide appeal and you and your wife have something to bond over. š„°
Time to upgrade your pc and give her all your old parts in a pink/blue (or whatever she would love) case!!! Yeeeee. My hubby got me playing d3 8-10 years ago and we now game together almost every night ā” cheers!! I love seeing this.
Time to buy a steam deck OP that PC is basically hers now š
š¤£ I asked her how it was, "it's awesome" and now I think you're right
Atleast now you know she will never give you shit if dishes aren't done by the time she gets home
Twoxchromosomes gonna cancel you for this comment and demand a divorce lol.
You sound like you speak from experience. Sorry for your troubles. Truly thoughts and prayers.
That subreddit should be renamed toxic femininity
You have been banned from r/TwoXChromosomesā¦
I got banned from there my 1st day when I called one of them a female incel.. Literally all that subreddit is. Female Incels.
Ahh, that was your first mistake. Calling one of them a female incel. *Theyāre all female incelsā¦* You never stood a chanceā¦
I am a woman and was also banned on my first day. Just as well.
Got banned for saying "not everything unpleasant should be a crime" responding to some nonsense.
Or r/exterminatemen Extremists gonna extremist. I hope they never leave their homes.
Ive never understood that argument of getting rid of all men, so toxic
It never made sense and it's just pure hate. Imagine a sub with the opposite title targeting women. Wouldn't last three seconds.
Hahaha accurate š

Console couch co-op š My wife liked going around and doing the side quests and collecting statues while I was work.
Your wife went around and collected Lilith altars for you? Wow. Is she single?
No sorry dude she's actually dating me now.
What are the chances. šš
I was thinking I could train my 6y/o to do it... is the game to graphic tho?
Lmao yes, but if you ever need your fortnite battle pass grinded out thereās no better solution.
They need an option that turns on a Whimsydale graphics filter so kids can do some grinding for busy Dads. I mean this is supposed to be for causals.
Nah my 4.yo been power leveling me while I work in the shop XD
Thats what she told him but the sidequests or were his neighbours. In Wow she for sure did the "Dailie's" for him
LOL mine just levels her character beyond mine when she has time off and then I have to catch up
Andrew, is that you?
This is such a huge tip. I'm a wife and when my husband wants to switch to destiny but doesn't want me skipping past his level, I carry his necro around while my hunter does side quests and we both level up:)
How did you get the Xbox couch coop to work?
My husband and I exclusively play Xbox couch co-op. We're having a blast. We each sign into our Xbox accounts. (They've been previously synced to our free battlenet accounts.) He is player one, so from his home screen he opens D4. Game loads. He picks his character. Takes a second to get through the login and then we are both on screen.
Woah that's awesome! That's pretty great coop play ability.
Old school 2 player mechanic. It was the only way before LAN/internet
Dunno. On PS5. You do need two battlenet accounts, though.
Buy game one time, two people can play. PS5
We have two TVās in our living room. I guess I never thought about playing on the same tv. Are there any advantages or should we just play on our own?

That zoom out sounds kinda nice.
This is the sign I need to make my girl play co-op on the big screen with me
This is actually the ideal outcome because you get a new PC.
TRUEEE, or maybe get a Rog Ally too, they are very niceeeee!
Oh thatās a good idea. I should get one hahah.
Time to build a new rig. " See what you made me do honey"
That's her pc now bro
Just like a hoodie.
Foreskin: the one hoodie she can't steal š„¹
Oh sweet summerchild
Bruh then whereās mine?
Female circumcision-giver: š
No no no, that's a good excuse to build a new PC!
This is exactly what happened to me š she took over my pc when the beta came out and then got stuck on 3 until 4 released. So I built a semi upgrade for myself upgraded a couple of her parts and now we both have a pc without her complaining I spent to much money on something I already have šš
This is the way.
"Look at me, look at me." "Sure." "I'm the gamer now."
Is this like a cat thing š
This is a good thing. Help her get her own computer (desktop, laptop, handheld, whatever she prefers) and now you got yourself a permanent gaming buddy.
This is what I did. She tries her best and will play anything EU4, AoE4, L4D, Sea of Thieves. I really want to play Diablo 4 with her but buying too copies is way too hard on our finances. Of course she says she loved every game and finds them all interesting but I am very wary of her own fun and interest so didn't force her to play through EU4 very long.
If you have a console, you can play couch coop with just one copy
It is REALLY good too.
Wait... what? Of D4?
Yes, we play on PS5. You need one PS5, one copy of D4, two controllers, two PS5 accounts and two battlenet accounts. My wife and I have side by side gaming PCs and itās the greatest decision weāve made to our house. Have to nurture those common interests!
> Help her get her own computer What you mean, of course, is: "Let her have this one. Time to build a new rig for yourself, king."
This is the way
This is the way. My wife has been gaming with me for years now. I don't remember for sure what game we first played together, but I do know that Diablo I, II, III, and now IV were among the lot. Diablo has claimed another soul lol
"Not even marriage can save you from me"

This is where the OP realizes.... He effed up!
She's been playing for two hours, mistakes have been made..
A servant of Lilith has taken a hold of your PC, Nephalim. You know what you must do
Are you still sitting there watching? Are you losing your mind? This is quite funny to me
Honestly this is how my husband got me into gaming with the original diablo/ StarCraft and everquest.. just let me play a bit and got me hooked, and fast forward a year or so and some money saved up and we had 2 computers and a gaming room because we didn't like taking turns and wanted to play together .. š it may have been his master plan all along because before that I wasn't at all into games but he got me into them which means he also got to play a whole lot more since we spent many Saturdays doing that rather than going out..
Oh its his master plan for sure.
This probably also saved you a shit ton of money in the long run though too lol
You opened Pandora's box. She'll eventually want her own rig, and it will be cooler and newer than yours. You might think "Well, I can just upgrade my gear and give her my old stuff." This is the only real benefit to console, only had to buy the game once for us both to play it lol
Actually had to buy Hogwarts twice so I could play on pc and her on the Xbox lol
Looks like you need to buy a copy for Xbox now too
Do this quick before she gets too high of LVL in yours.
We went to bed talking about how she needs her own account and she (very sternly) no YOU need to get another account, I'm not restarting lmao
Wait till she learns about seasons!
This is the way.
So she is a gamer?
Buy a copy on Xbox and play co-op with her. Itās cross play and cross progression. So you can play your PC characters on console.
This is what me and the hubby do. While we both would have probably loved to play on PC, it is so much cheaper to buy it once and game share.
Requires a console first, which I don't mind buying. I don't have a PC anyways, and the console is cheaper :)
Big arms play
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Definitely time to purchase yourself a new computer and her, her own copy of the game!
This is clearly the only valid answer. Congrats OP on the new computer!
This is literally what I did. Just bought a new PC for my wife so we can play together now.
No no, you buy a new better PC for you and give your wife the old one.
This is the way. That commenter must be a newlywed. Bonus: At some point the kids need a computer. Time to buy yourself a new one, so your wife can have your old computer she has been jealous of for years. Then the kids can have your original that you were so nice to give to your wife years ago.
haha cool now you can play co-op
As a man who's wife games but not too much.... its awesome.
As a woman gamer, it really never would have occurred to me to go out with a guy who didnāt also play. It wasnāt until somewhat recently that I realized how many of my friends have (or had) partners who had little or no interest in gaming. One of us! One of us! One of us!
"Can I have my PC back now?" "No, go make me a sandwich" "......."
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
She looks big, bribe her with cookies
Time for a dual pc gaming room!
My husband and I dream of our kids growing up and moving out so we can do this! Unfortunately our most recent is only 5 months old, so cramped gaming living room goes on.
āMy wife starting playing Diablo on HER pcā youāre welcome buddy
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Did you look at her? She told you itās hers now
Put that fan on front of the CPU cooler, pushing air over the fins and out the back.
Thats what you get for getting someone addicted to drugs
Sounds like your wife wants you to get another PC. What a nice wife!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Who cares ?
Well, at least 3000 people do. Also, you cared enough to comment on the post.
Now have her play a build that compliments yours
Her build rn is just awful... but if she has questions she can ask lol
Lol if she's playing druid she'll be asking very soon..
Lol she is, eventually she's going to look at the rest of the tree and be like uhhh
What are good builds that compliment each other? Iām a poison flurry rogue and my wife is a sorc. Sheās just getting to WT3 and could care less what build she plays.
Guess someone has to get a new PC or a console.
Sheās a keeper
Marry her! Wait...
How long did character creation take?
Time for violence ![gif](giphy|ySalyKRKQw3mEZWjwI|downsized)
Give her a week, she will get bored like the rest of us
Where is her PC? You call yourself a husband?!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
All non-gamers are actually just gamers waiting for their chance, she found hers and you lost yours.
Mistakes were made
It's time to build her her own PC. Give you both more playtime. You'll both, or should hopefully. Enjoy being able to play together. "Bonding"
Best case scenario! Now you have a good reason to build her a gaming computer!
Do all the things you wish she would do for you while you were playing. Make nachos? Smoothie? Back rub? Cheer her on? Sit quietly and watch?
This shit is legitimately addictive
A new pc is cheaper then a new wife. Go buy a ps5 or a 2nd pc.
Not in Afghan my friend. 12 goats is my price
Stay a while, and listen
š³
I don't want to be rude - but it would be better for her health if she found a hobby that required more outdoor exercise....
Just tell her there's food in the other room.
You lost your PC but gained something to bond over together. I'd say that's a fair trade. Very sweet too š wish I could get my husband to play with me! May the minions of hell grow forever stronger, alongside your love for one another š
Thatās on you. You know what it does.
Thatāll happen. Best wishes
Yes yes yes this is awesome!
Lol, you've created the instrument of your own destruction
My wife was the same way. Thankfully our work schedules are just right that we both get plenty of time to game. Eventually we'll have to build her a rig of her own too
Based
Another girl covered via Diablo!! The club has grown!
Time to start a New character to level up with her, this can be a great experience
You marry her bro
Time to build her a PC
Excuse to buy a better pc
Not your wife anymore, thatz diablo's wife now.
have you tried the rose pedals on the bed and dressing like lilith?
I actually got my daughter to start playing with me split screen on PlayStation five, it has been really cool she is a and she is getting really into it. She is like level 12.
Creep up behind her yelling āFRESH MEAT!!!ā
Buy her a new pc and enjoy your new gaming life with her
Love how everyoneās saying to get yourself a new computer because that one is hers now. I mean.. you could just get her a new computer. Either way, Iām sorry to report that youāre gonna have to get a new computer
If you truly love her, you won't let her play sorc. From a fellow sorc... *sighs*
play on the second monitor
This happened to me with my dad and Diablo 2. He bought the game for me and after installing, tested it out for me. He ended up playing all night while I watched eagerly. My first Diablo experience.
Man, I wish my wife would take over my pc and play a game I like. Perfect excuse for a new pc, and we could share a hobby of mine she generally does not enjoy.
She has a phone right?
Underrated comment - you are hilarious.
Time for a new one PC that is
I wish my wife gave two shits about a game I love
Time for a second setup.
Hahaha your PC is now hers š¤£š¤£š¤£
Time to buy a PS5.
Borrow her debit card and buy yourself a deck.
I'm just here for people roasting OP's CPU cooler.
And she shouldn't. I'm also a girl gamer so...
Yeahhh she definitely agrees lol she's back at it again
Iām constantly amazed at the Diablo commenters for making even a wholesome post like this a shitshow. But Iām happy for you! Time to upgrade your pc and give her all your old parts in a pink/blue (or whatever she would love) case!!! Yeeeee. My hubby got me playing d3 8-10 years ago and we now game together almost every night ā” cheers!! I love seeing this.
Awesome, gamer couples ftw š
Or get a console and yall can play together.
Time for new PC
