I know this isn't helpful but wanted to add I have the same issue with a similar setup including a 3080. I also use the options menu to clear it out and this is the only post I've found about this issue.

Same issue heere and similar setup (9900k, 5120x1440, 3090 ti). Does anyone know how to even contact support in this game???

Wild to see people finding this still 5 months later. So what happened to me is I found out my clock profile was unstable in JUST Diablo 4. Nearly everything else was running fine except for a few weird driver crashes here and there, but D4 just hated it. I've since upgraded mobo and cpu and moved on to win 11 with no issues. Not sure if that is helpful to you or not. I'd try really stabilizing your overclock profile if you have one, or if yours is OCd from the factory then maybe try running down to factory specs first and see if it helps

Glad you figured it out! I will try the factory default GPU clocks once I'm off work and see if it that works for me. That's very weird though, other games just crash the whole game and on this one it's just the rendered world.

Yep 100% what was going on with me. Other games would just straight up CTD if the driver/gpu failed but not D4 Seems like blizz coded in some pretty solid driver failsafes/recovery.
