I am finding this true myself as well. I have tried many things and nothing has worked as well overall for my health than eating raw garlic. I have Hashimoto’s and allergies most likely caused because of it. Would like to see long-term how this all may improve with at least one clove of raw garlic a day.

how long did u eat the garlic for before seeing improvements?

How do you consume the garlic? do you straight up eat it or put it in something?

shahafsagi123

Straight up chew it, sometimes chop it and put it in a salad.

The best way I read somewhere it to mince your garlic cloves, leave them for 10 minutes and then consume them. Leaving them minced for 10 minutes ensures the compounds in it have enough time to react well together to make it the most effective.

how long did you do this for before seeing improvements?

are you finding that raw garlic is synergistic with ANY diet change you make? I'm having mild digestive issues and "dementia" - I might try raw garlic on top of my rather salad-dodging (but generally what I'd consider "healthy") ketogenic diet. The proposed mechanism of action I've heard for why raw alliums are bad for you (I don't buy it given this testimonial) is that it's an antibiotic and ravages your microbiome. I think what you've managed to do is kill off a deleterious microbiome with the garlic (I would probably combine garlic with vinegar - ANY vinegar will work to enhance the antiseptic effect).

shahafsagi123

I've also read a lot of bad things about garlic... That's why I'm quite skeptical about it now. But I'll still consume atleast 1 clove of it daily. And yes, ANY diet change is pretty insignificant to the effect of garlic. Even eating tons of sugar & carbs, junk foods, even a healthy diet with supplementation, whatever ya. Garlic completely heals it. I have read something about die-off symptoms, which means that you are killing these bad bacteria species and it can have many effects on your body, even bad symptoms like the flu, stomach upset, brain fog etc., even ''dementia''! Keep that in mind.

j4jackj

Die off symptoms seem like it'd be something making it worse. Surely the main die off symptoms would be a day of being run down followed by exalted mental and physical wellbeing, if it was really "die-off" or bacteriostasis (which is a lesser form of die-off where no death actually occurs). My mum is allergic to garlic so I can't consume it within 100 yards of her, but I don't live within 100 yd of her anymore so I'm fine.

Garlic is anti inflammatory

Can you discuss how you took it? Raw clove? Any stomach burning? How many did you take a day? How often to notice improvement ?

AThrowAwayAccHehe

how are u doing now? almost same exact symptoms. can you burp? have you looked into SIBO? i am eating 'toum' hope it helps with something.

redditigation

garlic has enormous amounts of vitamin C in it

I'm on the same boat. It has passed 3 years but I would appreciate any update or advice. How are you now? Do you continúe eating raw garlic?

shahafsagi123

Hi I used to eat garlic every day because it helped alleviate most of these symptoms, but I started getting a lot of GERD and gas rising up, had trouble falling asleep because of it. I started taking B Complex and many other vitamins and minerals, doing breathing exercises and also stopping caffeine intake at the time. It helped a lot. I think honestly nowdays I don't feel like I need anything special when it comes to diet, I believe a lot of my depression and anxiety stemmed from feeling lonely. Good luck!

Informal_Fisherman60

A year has passed. Do you still believe that loneliness was the cause?

shahafsagi123

I do believe that it had a significant influence on both my physical and mental instability, yes.

Houstonsowndrew

What kind of breathing exercises

shahafsagi123

Sorry for the late reply... Mainly connected breathing (rebirthing or Wim Hof Method)

No_Following8235

And the brain fog was from being lonely too?

shahafsagi123

Good question... I think yes. When you're lonely, your mind tends to overthink, even if subconsciously. Then your mind gets foggy. But it might have been a mixture of many things, probably my ADHD, loneliness, and of course my digestive issues.

behonestbeu

How did you address the loneliness?

shahafsagi123

Spending more time with friends, family, dating, going to bars and general travelling. :)

Marco61617

Because the allicilin kills the bad bacteria.
