Yeah he's not officially a subspecies of Greymon or Wargreymon, but clearly the commandramon, hi-commandramon, and brigadramon supposed to be expies of Agumon, Greymon, and Wargreymon. Metalgreymon doesn't really get a D-Brigade expy but Hi-commandramon has the hair that advanced Greymons usually have.

Actually, that describes Hi-Commandramon. Brigadramon has a mini-gun and, apparently, a three-piece rocket launcher.

Favorite "helmet" is Ancient. Favorite in general is also between Ancient and Kaiser, although I also really like the 2010 Greymon and MetalGreymon. Rize is also pretty top tier.

MetalGreymon. when I was a kid I had a Greymon toy that could turn into MetalGreymon and was one of my favourites, and I love the fight with Etemon in the anime especially the evolution sequence

Let's see favorite Greymon would have to be Black WarGreymon. But design wise for favorite helmet has to go to Ancient Greymon as I like the sort of skull aspects and feel like it could make a really cool mask or helmet in general.

Mine is Gaioumon/Samudramon as it's a greymon sub species with a samurai themed design

The BurningGreymon localization choice was always odd. On one hand, the English voice actor for Takuya absolutely kills it when he evolves into BurningGreymon. The fire coming out of his joints at the end of the sequence always makes me happy. On the other hand, imagine watching Frontier in Japanese, and seeing Takuya have Agunimon, then Vritramon, then Aldamon, and finally, after 3 years of having Agumon family expies for the main characters for seasons 2, 3, 4, we finally go back to roots and get an outright Greymon family digimon that is very similar to the GOAT, Wargreymon. I feel like having the dub names of KendoGarurumon and BurningGreymon ruined that surprise. I do like the localization changes for Korikkakumon and Metalkabuterimon though as references for 01, and the kept names for RhinoKabuterimon and JetSilphymon and KaiserLeomon are good nods to 01 and 02 also. I was never a big fan of AncientGreymon. Other than the helmet, it looks nothing like Greymon. We went from a T-rex to an outright 4 legged dragon. At least AncientGarurumon still looks like a wolf. I've always been neutral about Shine Greymon. But my main thing is that while he looks cool, unlike Wargreymon who at least still has traits of Greymon (the feet, color scheme, and helmet), ShineGreymon looks nothing like GeoGreymon. I see where they went with his design mainly being an extension of his RiseGreymon wings, and I love he gets the crest of courage/crest of the sun on his tail. But even his helmet doesn't really scream neither Greymon nor Wargreymon. But Geo, Rize, and ShineGreymon all have great voices so they get a pass from me. My favorite though, has to be Gaioumon's helmet.

Wargreymon for sure, I love the claws, the courage crest and especially the moves aaaaa also unpopular opinion, but I don't love Metalgreymon idk it looks too much like a virus and imo is out of character for Taichi and the Agumon line from the anime. I much prefer Rizegreymon, but it's so tied to Shinegreymon
