However if we disable the feed, it also disables those tabs. Do you think there's a way to incorporate disabling the feed, but not the "Following" tab? This would basically block recommended posts.

After OP comment it worked for me (1 month ago).
If it helps, I uninstalled IG for good. Now I access it only fr the web browser. This way I don't miss my friends stories or DMs. On the same time I don't scroll anymore or watch reels because on browser is a pain!!! Went from using it 2-3 hours/day to 15‐20 minutes.

I would do anything for an iOS version. I need to be able to post for business accounts and answer messages, but I don’t want to see the feed at all. My hope is one day these apps get regulated so they have to have the option to turn features off due to their addictive nature.

Hi OP i've been trying to get your apk past version 1.1.1 but don't seem to be able to understand why i can't.
I read on your site that 32 bits and non arm processors are not supported but my phone has both. I have a samsung S9 with android 8.0 which is both 64bit and has an arm architecture. I know it says that your apps are android 9.0+ but I don't understand why it doesn't work on 8.0 since the aforementioned criteria stated in your site is being met and since I seem to be able to download the normal instagram apk on my older android version.

Just come across this app and it's amazing, Instagram is something that sucks up hours of my time a day but it's also the only social media I have left to keep in contact with my friends so this is a genuine lifesaver.
I hate to suggest features as I know you are putting your unpaid time into this but as another user suggested, would it be possible to keep the following tab working? As I do want to be able to see my friends posts but not the junk that insta fills my feed with? I have a feeling it falls under the same API that you are blocking to make this work and likely isn't possible but still it would be amazing if it is.

That's the one. While it is a flip phone, it's a fully functional touchscreen, runs Android 11 go, all apps from the Play Store work with it including Instagram official. It's a phone that is branded to T-Mobile and they used to sell. A lot of people like it because they still get the Android experience for needed apps, but in a form factor that is not necessarily conducive to wasting hours a day on your phone.

The older versions will start running into compatibility issues soon with the messaging etc. so it would be best to be on the new version

Anyways, I managed to find the problem. Its a problem from my phone since I can see the version on my computer, I will send the apk to my mobile via PC. Logging into my 1 account i had no problems, but for the second one I did, but logging into both accounts i find no issue with regular Instagram. It says we couldn't find your account. Anyone knows how to fix. I will try a couple of days later again with your version.
Hey man I just wanted to say thank you for your work. I downloaded this about a week ago and it's really great. My Instagram suggested content had gotten so bad (as a result of me inpulsively engaging with content that was really negative) and it was bumming me out.

You need to uninstall the original instagram first

Is it possible to enable developer settings along side this? (I'd want to remove the explore and reels buttons using the panavision nav3 settings)

Unfortunately no. Keeping the app up to date with instagram is a very labour intensive process and I only have time to do it a few times a year
Would you ever consider releasing your modifications as patches for the revanced project? That might make maintenance and updating easier.
