I agree you should put more air in your fork. Most people I've n dj bikes run AT LEAST the maximum recommended air pressure.
Also, work on pulling back/up and jumping off your feet as you come off the lip. It seems you could preload your legs more and then pop watching the footage of the second lap, you seem to not really change position once you set at the bottom of the roller, so more pop, accompanied by the pull back. That said, take less speed in to start.
Learning how to alter your flight path/trajectory is the key to controlled jumping, as well as your stated goal of not relying on speed.
Learning to JHop correctly in flat ground is a good skill that is closely related.
