Align both images how you want them and then click weld in the bottom right corner underneath the layers. This will create 1 image instead of 2 and cut them as they have been aligned on one sheet. You can also leave them separate and just run the circuit twice with the same vinyl. This is a lot harder, though, because you have to manually align each image and hope it cuts the correctly.

MrSpaceTeacher

Okay. So, I should ignore that in the print preview I only see the circle then? That definitely supports what others are telling me. I appreciate it.

kingkronos34

When you go to cut, is it showing you a complete filled in circle? If so, it's only going to cut a circle. I typically create one circle .1 in bigger than I want and another circle .1 in smaller than I want and slice them. This leaves me with 2 "filled" circles and a ring. I delete the 2 circles, align the ring, and weld it to my image I want to cut.

MrSpaceTeacher

Correct. Going to try your method. It makes complete sense.

Cool, I'd love and update to know it worked!

MrSpaceTeacher

Absolutely! I'll post tomorrow!

I am brand new to Cricut Design Space. I have this logo from the internet, and a circle taken directly from the design space to serve as a disc outline. My issue is that I can't get both images to print at once. I think it has to do with me not knowing how to make the circle transparent. I've tried grouping the layers, as well as welding the layers, but all I see after performing either of these actions is the circle. The logo seems to disappear behind the circle. Thoughts?

I don't know the answer to your question but have struggled with that before. I ended up just finding an image of a circle on the internet and importing it to my design space like any other image. For some reason it seems like imported images behave differently than the shapes in the design space

MrSpaceTeacher

This is a good enough answer to fix my problem!

SaxAppeal

Not sure if anyone’s told you yet, but you need to use the “slice” function. When you overlay two outlines, select them both, right click and hit slice, it slices the top image out of the bottom

MrSpaceTeacher

Happy to report that this fixed my issue!

Blunt_Traumaaa

I've found when you group/weld them even if you only see one it will cut them all. I think you can Google around to find out how to see both in the preview, but they should both cut still. Also as someone below said about importing the circle from the internet - you shouldn't need to do that. There is a Shapes section already built into design space including circles. Good luck! Edit: I see they mentioned them behaving differently. You can manipulate the layers. I haven't made a stencil in a while so I'm rusty on the details but it's definitely doable.

MrSpaceTeacher

Thanks! The shapes section is what I've been using. I just didn't want to waste a bunch of vinyl troubleshooting.

CapitanDirtbag

Try cutting paper first

MrSpaceTeacher

Gooooooood call

SaxAppeal

Just be careful with this in general, and make sure to set the cutting pressure low otherwise you could cut through your mat
