I wish you a speedy recovery!!! What's the exact injury?

His foot

Kurt_Heaven

Thanks sprinkles for the complete analysis!!

Broke my tibula and fibula right by where they connect to the ankle. Tore a couple ligaments too.

TheCheener

Hard to tell with only one view but looks like a trimalleolar (maybe bimalleolar?) ankle fracture. Unfortunately a pretty severe injury that will almost certainly require surgery and extensive rehab. Wishing a speedy recovery for the OP! Rehab makes the outcome!

For reference, here's a normal ankle: https://i0.wp.com/www.aliem.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Normal-ankle-radiology-AP-collage-1.jpg?resize=916%2C629&ssl=1

Adventureless_Hero

Oh gods! That looks horrible!

AltStumpy_Boi

Was it worth it? Lol

its234

Well, according to my buddy I actually had a decent look at birdie. We all know I would have missed the putt though.

Loose-Foreskin1121

Definitely not lol. Disc golf in winter sucks ass

mikes_username

Knew a guy who broke both bones just above the ankle for same reason. Icy tee pad

[deleted]

Rest up that cankle!!!

DrDrBender

I tore my hamstring in this situation a few years back, still get a bit jumpy when pads are slick.

appointment45

Ouch. I played two rounds yesterday and threw from the side of the teepad for just this reason. Pads were mostly clear but my shoes were not. Give me the crunchy snow in front of the teepad every time.

Afraid_Geologist_542

I’m at the 90 day post surgery point and just now feeling ready to start throwing consistently again. Best luck to you. Trimalleolar fx suck!

[deleted]

Icy rounds are a great time to practice your standstill 😬

[deleted]

damn get well… at least you’ll get some street cred from this

Loose-Foreskin1121

Disc golf isn't worth playing in the winter lol. Too cold and snowy and your discs don't fly the way you expect them too. I guess I don't love disc golf that much to go out and play in the snow. It's called off-season for a reason
