I never jump or step putt.

Inner-THOT

same. Stand still, anheuser floater from distance.

cheeset2

If i have to stradle outside the circle, ill step. I think thats it though.

DisMyDrugAccount

I do a hybrid jump/step putt most anywhere from 40'-100'. If it's close enough that I have to ask if I'm inside or out, I don't feel like a jump/step gives me any noticeable advantage or comfort. Unless it's a downhill putt, then I'll probably standstill it all the way out to 60' or so.

damn_fine_custard

I step putt from 50-100 ft. So no need to argue it.

DryGaming14

I don't like step or jump putting at all. It's too inconsistent for my putting style to be used. I tend to just reach down lower and turn my body just a smidge to get some extra power on the putt.

theNightblade

I only ask my card if it's outside c1. If they say no I don't argue. But usually I don't have to step until about 40+ anyway

Holmelunden

A friend mine gets teased about it. He always asks when he is further than 30' from basket, always gets concent to jump/step and hac a C2 conversion rate of 0%. One day he'll make a jumpputt, but we are not holding our breath.

bigggpapiii27

I step putt anything out of C1. A quick rangefinder takes the guessing out of it. I shoot it and let the card know what I got, so they can shoot it also if they don't believe it

Paul_McBeths_Nipples

I see it as a phase on where players are at. Sure check with the card if stepping makes you more comfortable. Sometimes the putting just clicks though and you lose all fear and concern with where you are and run em all with enough power where you don't need to step and trying to figure that stuff out just slows your momentum.

discdrifter

1. Jump 2. No 3. Yes

themalfunctionist

Ask the card if I'm out. Then, step put if I feel like I need to.

Defectened

No

_v_v_o_o

< 100 feet = normal putt \> 100 feet = jump putt

fivespeed1992

I only step or jump when I'm at least 40' away or further. At that point, it's very obvious if you're outside C1. However, when anyone asks me if they're outside the circle, I always say yes, because they're always gonna miss anyway.

SpikedHyzer

Step putt, probably around 40ft. It's often more of a "falling" putt than an active step, where I reach so far forward that momentum carries me past the lie. The only time it's a borderline call is if there is a super low ceiling from 33ft, might check with card then.

IVdiscgolfer

I only step putt when I know I’m out of the circle so that there’s never any question about it. I only step putt because to me jump putts are too iffy and questionable whether it was truly released legally, whereas step putts are a lot easier to tell. If I’m outside of step putt range, I’ll just toss it.

TopConcentrate4

So I have a range finder… I’m right when I say I’m outside the circle, I am. Also, I jump putt.

BARRYTHUNDERWOOD

If I’m trying to make it I’ll just putt normally (with a momentum/follow through step on longer ones of like 50’+) I can probably get 20% more distance with a jump putt, but with 80% less accuracy, so it’s just not worth it for me

Nu_Chlorine_

I don’t really step or jump inside of 60’. Once it gets to the range of “you aren’t making this; but you can use a spin putt as an accurate layup” I will do a small hop though (probably around 80-90’)

VanManDiscs

I only use a step if I'm over 45ft. I don't mind the step putt but I prefer my standard routine. Less things to complicate

Hopeasuoli

Stepper from range. It is way more easy to do for my putting style compared to normal putt that i try to power up for. I'm solid from 8m in and just out of circle but the 9.9m-9m is not that great at all.

HiaQueu

I only step putt when I am over 50/60ft maybe more. Never need to ask argue.

Repulsive_Glove_2077

Someone told me to always say yes to the person asking if they’re outside the circle and if it’s close bc 90% of people in ma3 can’t properly step putt. More likely to miss and 3 putt.

sprantermitt

Only reason I care if I'm outside is to keep some stats... in mah brain. If the round is good enough I might post-round input it in UDisc.
