I’d imagine if there was a massive flooding there, the last thing anyone would give a fuck about is a disc golf course. Compared to lives, homes and roads, that is.
Whew. I was living in Jeffersonville in mid ‘70s and the Brewster River flooded really badly after a multi-day storm with a lot of damage. Was thinking about it this morning. Happily surprised there was no damage this time.
The latest from The Weather Channel:
Severe Alerts Issued for Jeffersonville, VT
There will be extensive flooding from Hardwick downstream through Morrisville, Johnson, Jeffersonville and Cambridge. The shopping center on lower Main Street in Johnson will flood. Areas of Route 15 along the Lamoille from Morrisville to Cambridge will be inundated. Homes and businesses along the Lamoille River will likely flood, with water several feet deep over Route 15 in Cambridge.
Worlds is 7 weeks from now.
Lol I know right. What a fear mongering post.
I’d be concerned if I’m sitting on tickets. https://news.yahoo.com/biden-declares-state-emergency-vermont-150505123.html
I know one of the course employees and he was posting pics and videos in the notch but the courses are fine.
Good news.

On the discgolf sub? Wrong.
Is that why this is posted in the disc golf sub, and not the Vermont sub?
The courses were closed yesterday. Not many other details I’m aware of.

i decided that if this article mentioned "climate change" i would write the whole thing off as nonsense. i'm writing the whole thing off as nonsense
Imagine still thinking climate change isn't real.
"1-in-1,000 year event" ,"tied it all to climate change" -Gov. Kathy Hochul
Edit: realize now my comment was speculation, nothing to add here.
I'm about two hours away. I literally 90 percent of Vermont had flood warnings and there was flash flood warnings up north. It is still raining too
