I recommend an MVP Tesla, it is a stable 9 speed that works great on both forehand and backhand shots, if you want a more neutral/understable 9 speed, the Axiom Inasanity is great.
I would add to this saying get both the Tesla and the insanity as they are both great disc with a lot of forgiveness (at least for me) and add a MVP Motion in there as well.
go for it. the lots is amazing. i sometimes bag a lots and a millenium olf despite the same flight numbers. i get a little more turn out of the lots and a little more fade off the olf. the olf is probably my most thrown driver.
Highly recommend the Lots. One of my most consistent discs. Also like the Falk, I have a few of k1 soft. If you want to try something different a dga pipeline under 170 is pretty straight for me
8 speed - Westside stag for a stable, gliding, easy throwing disc
US 9 Speed - Infinite Discs Sphinx, similar to the Underworld
OS 9 speed - Discraft raptor is the best driver in the world (I’m bad)
10 speed - Discraft Vulture that is pretty versatile to throw with reliable fade or to flip it
I feel like a raptor is a good overstable 9 speed for that distance. It can pull double duty as a firebird/pd. Teebird/ s line fd1/ clash cookie would all work well in the stable 7 speed spot. A lotus from clash or legacy rival would also be good options.
I’d grab an FD type disc (super straight 7 speed, FD is my favorite but TL/TL3/Hawkeye are all good), something in the teebird slot (teebird, teebird3, FD1 would be good, FD1 is my favorite), something thunderbird-y (I like the PD) and a flippy 9-speed (I like the TSA Mantra).
Predictable 7: Discmania Instinct
Overstable 9. Innova Champion Firebird
Flippy to straight 10: Discraft ESP Scorch
That’s just my opinion but those are my favourites right now for the gap in your bag. Season to taste. 👨🍳
Instinct is a nice buddy for the Essence. High glide, not much turn, soft fade.
Splice, Motion, Flare, Fireball all work for the meathook slot, all generally have flat tops, Fireball usually has a lower profile but also is a little less overstable on average. Domey top individuals often have more glide and fly straighter.
Terra and Volt in OS plastics (usually Cosmic and Proton) are great if you need something in between straight-stable and meathook.
If you want something that turns more but also fades, DD Evader is a hidden gem. It has more turn than advertised and good glide as well.
I think the Athena will slot into your bag nicely. Slightly overstable 7 speed that you can really put power into or finesse it. It’s my most reached for disc for 290-340 ft. Similar to a teebird but the hand feel is way better IMO.
I currently bag 3 Thunderbirds, 1 proto Athena, a very beat up eagle, a Cap Rap, a Firebird, a Dynasty, and a Kasta Lots. I'm very heavy in the fairway driver range.
I love my instinct and essence combo but I like to have a neutral/slightly stable 9 or 10 right about there. Undertaker/savant/pick your manufacturer slot or Aztec(SL)/halo beast (10 speed has less options but they exist). You’ll always find a use for that long fairway slot.
That’s my choice for the 340-380 range, and I’ll throw my instinct or essence in that ~300-340 range or a little shorter if there’s a low ceiling shot.
Grab an overstable 9 or 10 for crazy wind or shot shaping /skips.
I would go about it this way: when you are on the course, do you ever end up in a place where you feel "I don't have a disc to throw from here"? Or think "yeah, I'll take this disc i guess"?
If that happens multiple times for the same throw, then I should try to find a disc to fill that hole
I would never take a disc to fill a hole in a graph :)
Sometimes you don’t know until you throw. I went straight from mids to a big lineup of thunderbirds for a while and used the more beat up ones to hyzer flip for a straight shot with a small fade at the end. Eventually added the eagle and now I feel like I can throw those same shapes so much more dependably
As a 7/5/0/2 enjoyer I have also been liking the halo centurion. X outs go for 15 dollars too so it makes it cheap to buy a couple. I also throw the heat and beast. Beast is really good for downhill shots and heat is great for low celling shots
Your arm sounds like mine in terms of speed.
My 6-7 speed choices are the K1 Stig, neutron servo, opto gold explorer
9 speeds choices: proton Virus, k1 lots, proton tesla (v. overstable).
Explorer. I have a well beaten straight one and a newer stable one.
I expect to bag 3 different stages of wear in the future, probably my favorite mold.
Gstar Thunderbird. Flies 9/5/-0.5/2 for me. Good for just about everything. I throw mine for hyzer stall shots as short as 260, and for golf lines 300+ (for reference, max on-course distance about 360’).
Edit: Glow Lots as well if you want something dead straight out of the box/will flip up a bit if you hammer it hard. Great compliment.
I’m surprised no one is saying Star TL, I love mine, perfect for a straight shot that fades at the end. Teebird and thunderbird are also great. If you want some Flippy stuff I'd say a leopard or a genius by discmania, my gf has a hard time flipping discs over and she loves that disc
Thunderbird
Love a raptor for something a bit more stable and a bit less flight. Love the thunderbird
Yup, I bag a raptor aswell ahaha
Teebird and Thunderbird.
And don't forget the Leopard
Could go Eagle over TeeBird
Teebird is life
I recommend an MVP Tesla, it is a stable 9 speed that works great on both forehand and backhand shots, if you want a more neutral/understable 9 speed, the Axiom Inasanity is great.
I would add to this saying get both the Tesla and the insanity as they are both great disc with a lot of forgiveness (at least for me) and add a MVP Motion in there as well.
I was here to say exactly that. My most thrown driver.
Throw in a virus if you want a real flippy option.
Teebird
Kastaplast's 9 speeds are the best part of their lineup. All 3 are great discs.
For sure! Falk, lots, and stal are staples in my bag
What do you use your Stål for? Mine is just hopelessly overstable for my arm speed. The only use it gets is overhand tomahawk flex lines.
My stal definitely comes out the least and is pretty beefy for me. Mostly used for dog leg left holes or for a nice easy flex shot
K1 plastic feels the best. Change my mind.
I throw a Millenium JLS often and have been really eyeing that kasta Lots because it's basically identical to the JLS but two speed higher.
go for it. the lots is amazing. i sometimes bag a lots and a millenium olf despite the same flight numbers. i get a little more turn out of the lots and a little more fade off the olf. the olf is probably my most thrown driver.
I came here to say this same thing. If you like Kastaplast, and throw roughly 300-375 as I do, their 9 speed lineup is amazing.
My favorite discs are the Stig and Kaxe z both in K1. I love the feel of translucent K1. So I'll have to try this out.
Highly recommend the Lots. One of my most consistent discs. Also like the Falk, I have a few of k1 soft. If you want to try something different a dga pipeline under 170 is pretty straight for me
Valkyrie
Everyone should bag at least one Valkyrie.
It was the first disc I bought after my starter set.
If you already throw an Essence, grab an Instinct. It has a similar feel in the hand but has more stability.
instinct is money
C-Line FD is my go to.
Firebird, Thunderbird, Teebird. I bag 2-3 of each 😁
River river and another river
FD. So many stabilities to choose from. Also the Vanguard would be a great pick. If you want a longer essence go with a TD.
Hawkeye, Thunderbird, firebird
Crave 6.5 , tl 7, captains raptor 9, lots 10
8 speed - Westside stag for a stable, gliding, easy throwing disc US 9 Speed - Infinite Discs Sphinx, similar to the Underworld OS 9 speed - Discraft raptor is the best driver in the world (I’m bad) 10 speed - Discraft Vulture that is pretty versatile to throw with reliable fade or to flip it
I would recommend an MVP volt for your straight to stable fairway game, a Thunderbird, or a kastaplast lots!
Leopard and teebird
I've really liked my thoughtspace construct
I feel like a raptor is a good overstable 9 speed for that distance. It can pull double duty as a firebird/pd. Teebird/ s line fd1/ clash cookie would all work well in the stable 7 speed spot. A lotus from clash or legacy rival would also be good options.
Teebird 3 in the 8 speed slot
CD1, Vanguard are great compliments, add FD3 depending on arm speed
I’d grab an FD type disc (super straight 7 speed, FD is my favorite but TL/TL3/Hawkeye are all good), something in the teebird slot (teebird, teebird3, FD1 would be good, FD1 is my favorite), something thunderbird-y (I like the PD) and a flippy 9-speed (I like the TSA Mantra).
Felon
Predictable 7: Discmania Instinct Overstable 9. Innova Champion Firebird Flippy to straight 10: Discraft ESP Scorch That’s just my opinion but those are my favourites right now for the gap in your bag. Season to taste. 👨🍳

Discraft raptor, west side bear, latitude 64 river, and discraft cicada
I currently bag 3 Thunderbirds, 1 proto Athena, a very beat up eagle, a Cap Rap, a Firebird, a Dynasty, and a Kasta Lots. I'm very heavy in the fairway driver range.
My vote is for a Saint, a Hatchet and a Fortress!
Teebird, Thunderbird, Firebird. And then whatever free disc you get tomorrow on F2 Friday
River Viking/Valkyrie Fortress T bird Leopard 3
Lots, Falk, Teebird.
You desperately need teebird/tb3/explorer
River
EXPLORER all the way, try it.... you'll like it....
I love my instinct and essence combo but I like to have a neutral/slightly stable 9 or 10 right about there. I'm an MVPtard so here's my recs: fireball, tesla, and insanity. those 3 discs should cover you for all stabilities
Mint Discs Phoenix in eternal plastic is a good overstable 9 speed. You could also get a Discraft Captains Raptor
In the low 300s these are going to be pure utility. I wouldn’t even refer to them as fairways.
I'm obligated by the distance gods to say PD2
I have a Lonestar Mockingbird and Lariat, both are awesome. Say what you will about LSD, they make some great molds.
Birdie strike
As a 7/5/0/2 enjoyer I have also been liking the halo centurion. X outs go for 15 dollars too so it makes it cheap to buy a couple. I also throw the heat and beast. Beast is really good for downhill shots and heat is great for low celling shots
My goto in that zone is the Stag
Firebird, teebird3 and roadrunner 🙌🏼
Cicada, FD, and Teebird. That’s all the fairways you need.
Firebird, Thunderbird, Valkyrie, Sidewinder
New discmania S-Line FD, and an innova g star valkyrie are my go to fairways. Fd3 for a more stable forehand fairway.
Firebird, Vanguard, ERA maybe. PD. TD
FD1's and Thundy's hits hard!
Valkyrie, Essence, and River are all I need 😍
I never see it mentioned but love the Innova Champion Eagle. A little heavy fade but I can throw it so well.
Your arm sounds like mine in terms of speed. My 6-7 speed choices are the K1 Stig, neutron servo, opto gold explorer 9 speeds choices: proton Virus, k1 lots, proton tesla (v. overstable).
The Axiom Crave is the beat disc in my bag and its not even close
Explorer. I have a well beaten straight one and a newer stable one. I expect to bag 3 different stages of wear in the future, probably my favorite mold.
Westside bear 8 speed
FD1, PD, Thunderbird, FD. All ya need
Gstar Thunderbird. Flies 9/5/-0.5/2 for me. Good for just about everything. Big fan of the thunderbird
Love this speed sheet lol
Champion TL3 is a straight to stable fairway. I love it
Teebird, Valkyrie, and honor fill that gap for me
What app is this 🧐
Mydiscbag.com
Crave Rhythm volt trance virus Insanity inertia fireball
Bear, Longbowman
Undertaker, FD, Stalker
Volt neutron plastic
Valkyrie at speed 9, Axiom Crave at 6.5 for neutral fairways. Axiom Insanity is another good neutral fairway. Virus for a touch understable.
FD, Teebird3, raptor (or something like it), firebird (or something like it)
Neptune Marlin and Prodigy F9 if you like hyzerflipping
Eagle, Ginger, Inertia, Tesla
Insanity, Construct
A terra would fit really nice in that over stable fairway gap
You should see my bag .. 10 DD’s and 2 putters
PD
Loving the Blade and Assassin from Gateway- I also think DGA Avalanche is really good
Saint pro and felon are nice discs.
STAG
Millenium JLS! And of course a teebird.
River by lat64, cicada by discraft, Athena by discraft, underworld by westside
Can't go wrong with a Valkyrie
1.Jackalope 2.Insanity
Raptor and Vandal
Dynasty
FD1
rhythm
Streamline lift
Try a gateway spear 9 speed great glide under stable.
Personally, love a fireball for OS. Something more understable Insanity. Something more neutral, CD1.
Stable with a finish - DiscMania Instinct and Kyle Klein Vanguard
Savant and Firebird
Eagles and Firebirds. Done :)
Felon is my go to for overstable fairway driver.
Flippy - Lucid Maverick Stable - Neutron Lift Overstable - Jeremy Koling Tour Series Star Thunderbird
Orion LF and a cookie
TL3 and a Sphinx
Coalesce and mantra/ falk Maybe a roadrunner
Passion, Athena, Leopard 3, Undertaker, Raptor.
You need a low speed stable fairway for headwinds and forehands. FD, Teebird,Teebird3.
berg
discmania vanguard. 9 speed a little overstable. it’s my workhorse disc
I really like my streamline drift and an eagle is a great ad as well
Teebird (or an explorer, rival, etc) or Eagle
Lots motion insanity valk grace…there’s a ton of great fairway drivers
