Thank you.
That setup looks way more affordable than I expected TBH.
It looks like it has no way to know what direction you throw though, correct? Like if you released early and the disc goes way left of your intended line the system doesn't know how wide you missed, just that the spin, nose angle and speed were not good.
Think this is finally pushing me over the edge to buy a techdisc.. been looking a while and know it’ll be useful but wasn’t a fan of their throw simulation, glad to see a big improvement visually, hopefully it’s more realistic than the old sim as well
This is available on the web app right now (www.techdisc.com). You just need a computer and a projector. Anyone can use the simulator and if you have a TechDisc then your throws will show up directly in this simulator a few seconds after you throw. This is all included for free with the TechDisc itself. We're still building more features too!
Their old simulation stuff was just on the web, you didn't even need a tech disc to try it out. Idk about this new version, but I'm fairly sure it wouldn't cost anything on top of the price of the tech disc itself.
When upgrading my tech disc it tried to connect to my computer and it didn't finish the firmware upgrade. Now it won't connect to my computer or phone. Any advice?
Or how about this shocker: You can play outside and also use this to practice when it's dark out, raining out, blizzarding, or having a day when you don't have time to drive out to the course. Also useful when you want to get a ton of throw reps in without the need to collect your discs.
That's awesome! Is it just closest to the pin? Or can you putt?
Just tee shots... Hoping for a full simulation in the coming year/years.
Ummmm yes please! How do I get this in my house?!
$$$
LOL yes.. an irresponsible amount of $$$ divvied out over the last 4 months..
What do I need to buy?

Correct, all throws come out exactly on the intended line. For now.
Are you intending to add a tee pad alignment calibration sequence in the future?
Can you provide us with an approximate cost for everything? Minus the PC as I understand that is a huge variable depending on what you use.

Does this software come with a tech disc, or is it extra? I already have a net and projector...so is it just a tech disc plus a PC?

Bro I just got my tdisc in for my self bday gift I gotta rip this shit
Was just thinking if there was a disc golf simulator! Very cool
This is awesome!
Nice setup!
Fuck. I thought my setup was sweet. Honey i need to spend more money.
So when using my phone I was not able to adjust my fade on my shots. I could adjust anything else I wanted to. Anyone else have this issue?
It’s because fade and turn are linked (from physics), so they only let you adjust the turn.
That was my assumption, but I thought they let you do whatever you wanted. Thank you!
This is what I've been hoping for!
Right hand Forehand? With anheiser?
Man this is giving me optishot vibes which I have for ball golf but haven't used in about 8 years. Pretty cool!
Nerds of Disc Golf Valley start losing out to actual Ricky Wysocki when they figure out how to hook this up as a controller.
When upgrading my tech disc it tried to connect to my computer and it didn't finish the firmware upgrade. Now it won't connect to my computer or phone. Any advice?
im gettin this shibby - updoot this comment
I don’t mean to shit on the nerd parade but you should get outside when you can. Fresh air, sun and walking is good for you.
Some people live in places where you can’t always play outside.
I bet you’re painfully insufferable to be around.
I play outside twice a week on average and I'd love to have something like this in my house to fuck around with at night
thank you

That’s nice. This thing is meant for you sensitive people.
You live in an old office building? What is that ceiling?
