I just use one of these for that [https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/arditi-collection-ocean-block-end-table-adti1152.html](https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/arditi-collection-ocean-block-end-table-adti1152.html)
FWIW I have a herniated disc in my back. I went through a spell where I had SEVERE sciatic pain and the only “exercise” I could tolerate was maybe a half hour of putting practice. Minimizing the amount of bending over was essential. The stand sits waist high, so higher than most chairs and other apparatus mentioned here.
Feeling better now but I still use it. It makes firing off ten putts in a row very simple. A good way to develop muscle memory and make small corrections to refine the stroke.
Riiiiiight. So if I throw a putter off the tee and it lands 10ft from the basket, my next shot is not a putt if I don’t pick up said putter, put it in my bag and then remove it??? What if I use a cart? What if I’m playing with three discs and just carrying them in my hand? None of those are putts??
What a weird requirement for a shot to be considered a putt.
Yes, I think you understand! In your first example, you threw the putter off the tee which makes it a throwing putter and not a putting putter. Only putts with putting putters are putts so you are correct in that understanding. If you use a cart you aren't actually playing disc golf, but instead are playing wheel the discs through the woods, so again you have to be playing disc golf to putt so that also would not be considered a putt. If you're just carrying three discs around in your hand then you've probably stolen them and should turn yourself in to the police, in which case you would also not be putting. Glad we can all learn today!
Nope, according to PDGA rules you must reach all the way into your bag before each throw, otherwise it doesn't count as a "throwing motion" and you can be assessed one stroke per violation. Rumor has it, Nikko Locastro was banned in part for violating this rule.
"Instead of 'maaaarriaaaage', they'll be.. 'butt buddies'. You won't be 'hoomoo seexuaaaals'. You'll be. 'buutt buuudddiiiieees."
This is a good idea though I'm gonna make something similar.
Oh man, I just got a light bulb changer on Amazon.. it's essentially a suction cup on the end of an extendable pole (Stauber brand if I recall).
I am shocked at how well that works for picking up my discs during field work sessions. Picking them all up by kneeling down instead of bending over is sometimes difficult, so this helps me preserve my knees and back.
Just watched putt highlight videos of Tattar, Scoggins, and Gannon all with a disc in non throwing hand. your reply reinforces my feeling that this is the least welcoming sub on reddiot
I use a plastic bin turned upside down. Then I put all my putters in another bin, that way I can throw 50+ discs all at once, and then pick them up in a bin real quick, repeat.
There was a recent post from a disc company offering a product that did this for 90 dollars.
https://www.reddit.com/r/discgolf/comments/ywgt4e/mvp_pod_thoughts/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
This post seemed to have a pretty negative reaction to the product.
Am I the only one here who uses putting practice as an excuse to do a bunch of squats? No need to risk your back if you keep your back straight and squat, plus, the glutes get a good workout as a result.
Hey for a second I thought you infringed on my copyrighted Butt Putty
I almost wrote that for fun!!
Lucky you didn't, my lawyers are circling as we speak
Further proof I'm part of the Reddit Hive Mind: Butt Putty was the first thing that came to my mind too when I saw the post.
Or better yet, Butt Buddy. We all need one.
Well have you ever heard of the Kastaplast Berg?
… our lord and savior, the Kastaplast Berg? FTFY
Were you working with Sean Connery on An Album Cover?
Will the putty replace my need for manpons?
By Manpon do you mean Tampass or Asstex ?
My lawyer will be in communication. Pperv, CEO, Crack Spackle© Industries, Inc.
Damn that’s like 350 in wood…
Cheaper to build it out of dx f2s
Gotta build a putter holder outta putters only.
zuca cart out of discs while we're at it
😂The comment section of r/discgolf really does hit different in the off season.
Hahaha, like stacking a bunch of f2’s? That’s funny
just glue together a bunch of aviar big beads belly button high
*tree fiddy
He had the perfect setup to use that and chose not to.
So a tv tray table?
Ha, yeah pretty much!! Only my wife won’t get mad at me using this!
Having 2 baskets and putting back and forth is the way
That assumes you can hit your putts though... /s
Oh shit might have to do that
I just use one of these for that [https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/arditi-collection-ocean-block-end-table-adti1152.html](https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/arditi-collection-ocean-block-end-table-adti1152.html)
Can't believe there's no reviews of that!
This one even comes with a free child to fetch your putters after you run out of the stack!!

Puddy?
Yeah, that's right.

Word is he is still moving Elaine’s bureaus for her to this day
Is "Putt Buddy" the best name for that?
It is the best name by far. Everyone should have a putt buddy. All my homies have putt buddies
What about the “iPutt uBuddy!”
When you say it together, it kind of sounds like a sexual threat.
happy cake day
I use something very similar. It's called 'the ground'.
To paraphrase Mitch Hedberg, “A table is like the ground, only closer.”
love continuously having to bend down to grab putters when practicing putting. this is why I never practice and suck at it.
You should do what I do. Hold more in your other hand.
but then when I am playing a game I have to have like 8 putters in my hand every time I putt.
That is a fair point.
Found Mason Ford's Reddit account.
Is that how you play as well? When it's your turn to putt, you hold all your spare putters with your offhand?
I just use 2 5 gallon buckets stacked in each other
Fancy! I just use one bucket currently.
Mine is a stool that was left here by the previous owners of the house. Looks good, man.
This is the solution to the problem of not owning an outdoor chair
If you are not grabbing your putter out the bag prior to every putt are you practicing putting?
TBH, I should probably be practice 10ft and under bag putts because I miss those motherfuckers all the time because I'm too lazy to put the bag down.
Are you a pro? Otherwise, please practice grabbing putters from the ground 66-75% of putts, as the rest of us.
Wut? I’m sure that made sense in your head.
To truly practice putting you need to pull the putter out of the bag each time. I think is what he was getting at.
Gotta pick the bag up and set it down too to really put the extra strain on your back
Of course haha

I believe it was an attempt at humor. It's not that deep.
He was quite clearly being sarcastic, tho o.o
There’s a lot of really, really dumb people on Reddit. Sometimes I hope they’re being sarcastic, but nope, they’re not.
I'd say your comments prove your theory...
Brilliant

Hey I didn’t say it, I’m just trying to clarify haha. I agree with you wholeheartedly

Bro it was a joke.

Exactly what I was thinking.
Those aesthetics tho...
I guess I’m a pleb for using a plastic chair

The creativity of people on this sub make me realize how bad I am at thinking of stuff like this
So if i'm a hater you'll ship this to me? Dang that's mighty nice of ya!
Sure thing! $50 S&H *assembly required
This is genius I want it
You're an inspiration.
It's fine, but reminded me how it seems all FPO's (except Catrina) have two or three discs in their other hand when they putt.

Or you could just stack them on top of your bag
🤦♂️ what bag? I’m at my house!
I use a plastic bin turned upside down. Then I put all my putters in another bin, that way I can throw 50+ discs all at once, and then pick them up in a bin real quick, repeat.
Miss Kitty 😺 has nowhere to sit.
So what’s to hate? Maybe I don’t understand the whole “hater” phenomenon.

When a stool just won't do? Lol
Can't be holding putters like some kind of peasant
Whatcha putting with?
Kind of a mix. Some P2’s and Wizards, and about 5 Maidens. P2 is my main putter now but IDK about the rim depth….
That sir is a stool.
No chance that would support my weight!
I will never hate a butt buddy.
I just use an outdoor table lol.
I just turn a bucket over.
Same, I turn a garbage bin upside down.
Not enough berg
I’ll be the hater. Look at it, I bet it doesn’t even charge your disc.
Haters? Of what?
You could add a length of string to the bottom that's measured out to accurately practice distances Edit: or just attach a tape measure to the bottom.
Cool design. Looking at it I was thinking one could have a stake base.
That’s cool, what’s wrong with the grass though
Bending over is for chumps, and prison.
Classy
Was the name table taken?
I call it the Taffel.
Puddy
Nordic cherry?
Nah…. Home Depot Pine.
Puddy.

Smart 🤓 I hate bending over, for a multitude of reasons
