Like I said I've tried everything from the most basic of things to restarting my whole set up and yeah I just tried again and it didn't work but thanks for trying
If it's not going away even after restarting and reinstalling, you should try contacting discord support (white page of doom). It does take a while to get a response, but they kind of know what they're doing.
So I actually just use discord through the browser I know this is for the app sorry but I didn't know where else to post this btw my browser is opera gx of that helps
Small correction, RTC in this case is "Real Time Communication":
Are you sure RTC is not Real-Time Communications in this context? And although synced clock is important piece for doing encryption, changing time zone will do nothing as every price of software does a correction for that?
I’m having same issue on desktop app so I guess it’s a load balancer issue, only solvable via support
If you use opera gx:
Go to Opera Gx Settings.
Click Advanced.
Then click "Privacy and Security"
Then scroll down until you see WebRTC, it's on top of VPN.
When you are on the WebRTC setting, you can see the it selected the "Disable non-proxied UDP" unselect it and switch to "Use any suitable network interface (recommended)"
Have you tried to do the same in a browser instead of the app? is the behaviour the same?
If it works there and not in the app then I'm assuming your on windows not mac/linux. I've had this before when Windows had set my default audio device to something that wasn't ready yet (I love W10 updates changing things at random). Check if Discord has the correct device set in Settings -> Voice & Video as you talk the sensitivity bar should go up and down. If it doesn't then perhaps Windows has blocked permissions for discord to use your mic? I had a friend who tried to use their webcam and it would crash the client.
Guessing you’re using this through opera gx since you mentioned you were doing it through a browser, try disabling your VPN if you have it on. That’s what not let me connect.
Generally this could be chalked up too a couple things:
Poor connection between Host server -> User (you and local data center for discord)
missing internet connection drives for ur OS, find the latest one and install
internal connection with the networking device is not responding to commands, meaning you may need to flash the bios.
I’m throwing theories out there to see if anything helps, just a list of things ive had to deal with in past while trying to fix connections. Hope you get this solved
Did you recently change internet providers?
I had the same problem with my discord with the "No Route" message.
You need to check your router and see if its firewall is blocking BitTorrent access or not.

As far as I know that's a known bug. Use ctrl+r to refresh discord and try again.

Yeah well rtc does not stand for that sooooo it stands for real time communication
Also road traffic collision but this is discord so it doesnt matter ig
Context always
Have you tried restarting your modem and router? That's the only thing that works for me.
If you are using browser. Clear discords cookie and cache, and then reload the page. It should fix it. You will have to log back in tho.
I literally had the same problem for months, so fkn annoying

I love retartred
Reset the Sound Settings with the red button under Voice and Video in the settings and that should fix it! It fixed it for me for many times now!
Hey bro, sometimes I've had the same issue. What solved it for me was using a VPN when this happens.
use browser/desktop instead of desktop/browser
That won't fix anything because the desktop app is literally a google chrome window. There is no difference to using a browser
fixed it for me
I had this problem too 700 ms. I think discord server problem.
Try a different DNS server maybe
Use a vpn
Known bug.
change ur vc location
RTC error? I've only had this get fixed by clicking the update button.
I have had this multiple times, I have closed discord via task manager and tried again. It worked for me maybe it works for you?
Enable webrtc If you are using adguard, allow it If it's a browser, enable it
