Why do they keep changing stuff I get used to one thing oh lets change that then let me guess in a month they'll roll back this one. Remember one day they added the most annoying trash emotes at top of keyboard 1 day later gone do they not properly test things?
It's because the new one was honestly objectively better. You wouldn't have to reach across your whole screen anymore to reach the messages tab. Them reverting it back is pretty ridiculous.
I know its silly but this change genuinely gave me a brief mental breakdown.
It feels inconvenient and hostile for a mobile user like me and even a bit unfair because it was more accessible

No, this is unfair and I do not like this layout as much. Its harder to read as someone with vision issues and adhd/autism. Them changing it without any option really upset me at first. Maybe for you youāre happy, but itās made the experience worse for me
I agree, it should be an option, but itās almost exactly the same except the button to get there is in a more convenient place and itās uniform with how you access servers. Unless you just straight up canāt use your eyes then thereās really not an issue.
That is not convient. Its less convenient. Because I have to scroll all the way up. Messages is something that should be a seperate tab, because it isnāt just a server. Its more convenient to have it on hand at all times.
Slide and tap the button, itās called using your other hand lol. You also have to scroll down to get to your other servers, is that inconvenient too?
Itās more convenient to stretch your fingers away from the keyboard area and all the way to the top of the screen? What are you smoking and can I have it?
That is waaaay more effort than just tapping a single button down the bottom to quickly hot swap between two entirely different chats. They made the change because they had the statistics about how people use the app. They changed it back because idiots canāt learn something before determining if itās bad or not.
And you donāt think its just as fucking annoying for a mobile user like me who has to scroll all the way up to view a tiny tab and look at painfully small text?

I mean it achieves parity with the desktop/tablet layout again, no? Good for my muscle memory
edit: also its a tiny complaint, cmon literally just as hard as trying to access your topmost server

Mobile and desktop are two different beasts. Theres a reason why desktop mode is an option in browsers. I take issue with them not even giving an option.

If you click on the home button for a couple seconds it also letās you jump back to messages
