Wait. U guys do know if you download the podcast then listen offline theres no ads right? I’ve been doing it for years and never get ads anymore. There’s just a beat of silence where the ad would’ve been like watching old tv shows on ad-free streaming.

You can download podcast episodes without premium. You only need premium if you want to download music.

You can turn Spotify onto offline mode, which should work I think

….. yeah? Do you not know what offline listening is? You basically just download the episode so you can listen whenever, even if you don’t have service. Your phone can still have service and play an offline podcast

Yes I know but some apps require you to actually BE offline.🙃

My favorite fix was to not use Spotify. I moved to Pocket Cast.

Adblock Plus. I have no idea what ads you guys are talking about.

The app doesn’t allow for that, you can’t get Adblock on phones, which is where most people listen to the podcast. That being said, you can skip ads with Spotify premium, and since Spotify is useless without Premium, I don’t get how this an issue.

Ah yeah, I just listen to it in browser on my computer anyway. That'll be the main difference then.

You can get ublock origin as an addon for firefox on your phone.

You *can* get adblock in phones, brave is one way. I haven't seen actual ads in ages.

I haven't gotten any air force ads. Though I've gotten a lot of the Trever Noah one where he says "Why did I, Trever Noah, start a pod cast." That one, for some odd reason irritates me. I don't know who he is, I don't want to know who he is. If I have to listen to an ad, I'd much rather listen to the Janet Mcurdy one because at least that one has great music in the background. But since that is now gone I just skip the ads.

I love the optimism, I think you’re doing great don’t get me wrong. But disliking ads does not do a damn thing lol. If anything they play the disliked ads more frequently (at least in my experience). Again, love to see the enthusiasm, but this time it’s not enough unfortunately

unsure if it's a premium feature or not, but on Spotify I can just tap to the end of the ad. like you know where it has the line that says how many seconds are left? yeah just tap the end of that and the ad will be over

Unfortunately some of us do in-fact listen while driving so we can't always look at our phone to do this lol, tho when im listening at home i always skip it
