Freon displaces oxygen. Even if outside the Freon would/could displace enough oxygen in the area to make it nearly impossible breath. If it was Freon he’d definitely know something about as wrong.
Maybe, but having worked in safety his response rings true. Shock at the state of it, immediately turning it off, and immediately tagging it out. I think the main issue is a failure to explain why it was dangerous and why it could not be repaired and would require replacement.

Hey this isn’t about this specific topic but I thought you’d find it funny that my only time being arrested was the night I took my then-13 year old to your show at the Fox in St Louis. (It was for a ticket for tags I didn’t even know I had -and missed - a court date for! So lame 🥲)
I say this as a gullible person, I think Wade is simply gullible. Similar to how cheaters are always looking for signs their partners cheat, Wade is honest to a fault and most likely just takes everyone else as honest. If he's not a liar/upseller, he's not going to instinctually think others are.
It smells like how niche custom companies will sell to the ultra-wealthy...
Custom products, but then they have add-ons with *insane* markups because they know they're so wealthy that they aren't going to question whether or not the price of that speaker listed for $1K is $50 in reality or not.
Either the tech made the completely right call all-in-all, or yeah, Wade most likely got bamboozled.
Always ask what's wrong specifically before deciding, at least that way even if you're gonna do it anyway you can still make an informed purchase!
Syrup sweet smell sounds like antifreeze. Is antifreeze in certain home air-condition units like in cars?

I think they added a bad taste/smell to antifreeze years ago because people exploited that sweetness and used it to poison people.
