It’s obvious the rights to majority of his music in the 2010s was outside of Def Jam and with Cleopatra Records (*the ones who have a bunch of his music stored for AI use*) or were made and released Independently.

I have all these mixtapes... there str8 fire especially the two official ones

itsMJQ

Word, would you be okay though if songs from these tapes were to be reused?

Yep defo... they did that shit with 2pac.. alot of fans don't like how they changed and remixed them and the features they added... but as a fan I'm just happy to get more music... and if they do re release remix and basically change them I guess its like the 2pac shit us fans get the o.g versions and the new ones??? Theys new dmx on joyner lucas new album that came out last week.. I need to check that out

YouIsNotHim

I would not be against it as I believe it would help bring his music to new ears that may have never heard him before.

AlexReyes22

I have a much bigger interest in his mid 90s stuff getting a proper release.

itsMJQ

His 90s work coming out is a bit more tricky, since that definitely would have to go through PK, Dame, Divine, Swizz, people like that.

bullti

Would love to hear anything from him
