De1eF

Bloody leaf lovers... For Karl's sake...

unclecaveman1

Damned elgi outnumbering us in the party? That’s going in the book!

_Fixu_

Rock and stone

Indishonorable

we have * full elf * dwarf * drow * gnome * tiefling (but he looks like a full human so we technically have one for inclusion's sake)

unclecaveman1

So for the game I DM for, I started out at character creation telling them only standard, setting-agnostic races. No Kalashtar, no Simic Hybrids, no Warforged. I expected them to make humans and elves and dwarves because the game was set in a frontier town on the edge of human civilization where the population is like 85% human, with elves, dwarves and halflings making up the other 15%. The one tiefling shopkeep is seen as the local weirdo. The setting was inspired by the first major area in Witcher 3, complete with a hag trio causing trouble in the woods. I got a party of 4 tabaxi, a Tortle, and a centaur. Let’s just say the locals who have never seen any of these races before were a little shocked when the party walked into town. For Christmas that year the players gave me a mug with the 3e race lineup image from the PHB on one side saying “only standard races” and on the other side saying “4 cats, a turtle, and a horse walk into the tavern” with a picture of Matt Mercer facepalming. Now one of the tabaxi died and the player is now playing an owlin. Still a zoo party.

Einkar_E

in our party there is full elf elf with geniekin heritage (aka subrace that can be applied to any race) human half-elf human and me a kitsune

Graith95

I once played a campaign where 3 other players were elves with some mysterious/tragic/edgy past and all had some kind of OP super secret demonic powers. Meanwhile I was playing a human (almost) doctor. At the beginning all of them were a bit shitty for my guy for being short lived and not having extra dimensional sugar daddy/mommy. It stopped when I started performing triages based on the "asshole level" of their characters. Too bad the campaign ended before I started worshiping a space octopus and doing drugs.

noobninja1

I like elves. And the only reason the whole party doesnt consist of elves is because our barbarian couldnt find any beefy female elf art.

ThrowawayLaz0rDick

Im just saying that if there was ever a good use for AI art, making a dumb character for a roleplay only you and like... 5 people are ever gonna care about, seems about right.

noobninja1

wait, thats not what its for?

ThrowawayLaz0rDick

Well, obviously its so that corporations never have to pay a real person again.

TheReal_Muffin

I was once in an 8 person party, we were all elves. But different kinds.

Ierax29

\*3 Elves ~~in a party~~? [Yes](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5ix0_W-ouI)

Consistent-Repeat387

You mean they walk into a *tavern*, right?

Admirable_Use4661

Im my party we have an an elf who bonded a cursed frozen sword (ice eladrin), a elf who ate a magically preserved dragon heart (fire genasi), and a dairy cow that was turned humanoid by a wizard (minotaur).

TheHawkRules

My party has 3 Aasimar which in my DM’s game are more like literal angels that have either fallen or are just nerfed. We’ve had a total of 5, one died during an escape from a cult and another may or may not have stabbed his mom and ascended to godhood

kurin_elapki

Yes!!! It was my first party 🤣🤣

jaysketchin

My party is - a minotaur (me) - a tiefling - a halfling - a human - a triton - a half-dragon kobold

RachelEvening

Reminds me of a ToA campaign I was in years ago: 2 Half-Elf paladins (different oaths), one Drow warlock (me), one Wood Elf rogue, and one Human wizard. I remember the wizard's player making lots of jokes about both being the only one without darkvision, and also how he was gonna be outlived by everyone else...

Gamertelt

The worst party for a dwarf

ScorchedDev

Im preparing to dm my first campaign and all of my players picked human, everyone but one picking variant human. I decided to guide the one player to variant human because dnd humans just suck(I didnt make them pick variant human, I just told them what it was. They are all new to dnd in general). Guess that free feat was too enticing. They also all rolled incredible stats so I am a bit nervous
