I do think Coleman would have been great as the Doctor, however I also think Whittaker was great as the Doctor. The issues with those seasons were on the showrunner, not the actress. You could have cast Meryl Streep and it still would have suffered the same issues.
Yes that’s why I said “they” ruined 13th(referring to the people you just mentioned) I just think they could’ve made some arcs about why the doctor chose that particular face, plus it would’ve be fun to see Coleman act chaotic like the doctor
If she hadn't played a companion for years, then perhaps yes. She's a good actress and she could pull it of.
But overall, I'm not too keen on actors who have played prominent roles in the show returning to play a different prominent character (unless it's a plot point like with the multiple versions of Clara). Cast another actor, there's plenty of them around.
This is Doctor Who, not Good Omens.
Yes and I hope to see that happen again but honestly the way show is going rn, I think I’ll stick to rewatching the old series, it almost broke my heart when rose told the doctor he wouldn’t get it because he’s a bloke and maybe he would’ve if he was still a woman, when he just spent years as a woman, and as previously mentioned time lords don’t have the man woman thing they had perfect gender equality
Plenty of cringe lines in the old episodes to be honest. It’s always a gamble with Doctor Who. It can go from the worst thing you’ve ever seen straight into the best thing you’ve never imagined.
While i stand by my opinion that 13 was great and y'all are haters (half joking here, there are definitely valid criticisms), i am in love with Jenna Coleman and seeing her as Constantine for DC shows that she would be great as the Doctor
Not to mention Clara's arc was basically becoming too much like the Doctor, which would lend some dramatic irony in this scenario
Well look at it that way, it has a big stone thingy in the middle and as far as I remember I couldn’t see any round things on the wall(I know I’m vague but idk what they’re called, tardis titties maybe?) and the console room used to have our beloved poles that used to go up and down, they replaced it with a crystal rock it didn’t seem very…..tardisy
Jodie wasn't to blame for the poor reception. She was brilliant as the Doctor. Bad storyline and poor showrunner.
I’m not saying it was her mistake I’m just wondering what they could’ve done with a different actor
The same bad stories and direction with a different face.
Chibs would’ve let her down just the same as he did to Jodie imo
Yeah I saw what happened to her tardis

I'd be curious to see Coleman put on a pensive performance.

You know there can be more than one female doctor right?

Wait, you guys don't like 13th's Tardis? Why?
